If you want chunks of hard sweet potatoes in your latte this is the place to be. I understand that ad pictures are for promotional purposes and usually use as a reference but the post from instagram and what i got had zero similarities. I waited close to 20 mins for this drink and couldn't try it in store which is why i couldn't ask for a refund by the time i took a sip i was far out. The girl who made it was nice but i gave 1 star service because no one should have to wait 20 mins for a latte when there was only one person ahead of you. Also, i got a lemon bar which i ask if it was a bit bitter because i didnt wanted something so sweet and they said yes however when i got home and took a bite of the lemon bar i felt like i had a sugar rush instantly it was so sweet to the point of not wanting to eat it at all. I was hoping to try their pies for the holidays coming up but now im afraid it might now be good at all.

First time there this weekend and it was absolutely delicious! We got the 2 for $20 special and we were blown away. What an amazing deal for quality breakfast. We can’t wait to go back and try more! There is a little bit of a wait and it can be busy at times but all so worth it. Attentive staff and great food! 100/10!!

We’ve been preordering here for years, but the last two times our orders were wrong. Even when the owner, Danna, got involved, there was no desire to make things right… and that lack of care shows in both the staff and the food. The quality has slipped, the culture feels rude from the top down, and it’s clear Hometown doesn’t value loyal customers like they should. I used to rave to friends about this place but now I am warning them. Word of mouth matters, Danna, and after being let down more than once we won’t be retuning to your only remaining location in Centerport. Byeeeee

My 1 star is based solely on my experience today. Came in for a coffee. I was in line to be asked what my order is and an entitled women who was picking up a holiday order cuts in front of me. I say excuse me madame there is a line. At that point I expected the young lady at the counter to step in and say that she needs to get in line like everyone else. No. She stares into space and proceeds to help the line cutter. This entitled women then proceeds to order more stuff like pies and such. I know all the kids behind the counter are younger adults an maybe don’t want confrontation but have an adult enforce the line cutting. I left in frustration because last thing I want to do is create a scene so that women can cry victim. Have a pickup area separate from new orders. Maybe that would eliminate cutting people who then feel entitled to add to your order. I didn’t feel like it was a fair ordering experience. Please look into your policies and do better enforcement. As a neighborhood staple this isn’t the first or last time line cutting went unchecked.

Staff is incompetent but it truly stems from the manager/owner with the nasty attitude. Did not catch her name, but she’s the one with short dark hair. She could not comprehend what we wanted even though we told her multiple times and in different ways. I was willing to pay more for a substitution but she was not intelligent enough to understand that. If her POS register did not have the option, she couldn’t make a change to an order. She then became rude and dismissive. What a poor way to run a business. The food looked okay but I could not patronize such a terrible person so we left. Stay away and eat elsewhere where your business and money is more appreciated.

This is such an awesome hidden gem that offers so much more than a typical deli or breakfast bagel shop. Everything I had was amazing!!
I had the spinach pie here today and let me just say WOWWW!! Literally the best spinach pie myself and my mom has ever had, and we’ve tried so many and have very high standards for flavor and this did not disappoint. I was very impressed! The nice workers told me that the chef doesn’t make it that often, but she should definitely have it often because it’s seriously amazing! So good we got more to-go!
I’ve had their baked goods which are also extremely amazing, today had their lemon bar and cheesecake bar!! Seriously the best and obsessed with both! So worth it! Thank you!

Found a roach inside my bagel it was so disgusting owner refused refund and called me a racial slur… I think she has a prejudice against Spanish speaking people.
