Good food and good views. Always have an enjoyable experience here. Recommend going while it's still light out so you can enjoy the view better

Service was a little too attentive? This is the worst thing I can say. The food, view atmosphere, and vibe are excellent. Be Ware: If you drive a manual transmission, there is valet parking.

I have been going to mill pond for 2 decades. It WAS one of the best restaurants on the planet. I say WAS because ever since the new ownership took over, this place has taken the most disgraceful nose dive in restaurant history. My fiancée and I ordered the short rib tonight for delivery. We live not 10 minutes away. When the order arrived, what we got I wouldn’t even feed to my worst enemy. It was not short rib. The best description would be “overcooked roast beef steak.” DISGUSTING. For over $100, this should be a crime.

I reallllllllly love the place. But what is the deal with the heat. I've watched countless people walk out saying "wow it's just too cold"

Wife and I had an enjoyable evening at Mill Pond House. We enjoyed the cocktails, oysters and our meals. There were many options on the menu that we said out loud, that we have to come back to try. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Do not be afraid of cold temperatures and the outside room of Mill Pond. We ate there last Saturday night ( we go there all year long) and there was no problem asking for and getting a window table looking out over the beautiful Centerport waters. The food was outstanding as usual, my Serventi Tuna is my go-to dish. Always attentive service with Maitre D passing by often.

No longer what it used to be. Extremely slow service - had to get up and go look for staff to get meal and again to get check. We were one of 3 tables and at some point the only table and still waited forever to get food. Waitress's nails were so long they were in the food as she brought the apps. Never saw her again to get the actual entrees. Staff seems confused and untrained. Bathrooms were filthy and disgusting. Faucet practically fell off in my hand as I went to use it. Entire restaurant was dirty. The only good part is the valet parking is still on point. Sad to see a great restaurant deteriorate continuously over the past year. Been a faithful customer here for 20 years and this is my 3rd and last visit under the new ownership. RIP Mill Pond

We’ve had a few great experiences here before. Because of that, we decided to do Christmas Eve here with the family.Booked the reservations for 6:30 online through OpenTable and requested an indoor table. Got a very apologetic call from the restaurant a few weeks later saying the system had over booked Christmas Eve and our 6:30 was not available. We could do 4:15 or 8:15. We were understanding about it and took the 4:15. I mentioned that we had requested indoor on our reservation and asked again if we could be indoors, especially considering the circumstances of our reservation. I was told they could accommodate that.A week before our reservation, the restaurant called to confirm. I reiterated our desire to sit inside and the woman I spoke to said she would note it on our reservation. We arrived in Xmas Eve for our reservation and they brought our party outside, despite our repeated requests. I said to the hostess as my family was seated that we had requested indoors three times and was told it would be accommodated. By the time they came up with the solution of putting us upstairs, my family was seated outside and my in laws didn’t want to move again. I mentioned the issues they had with our reservation and the previous discussions about putting us inside and how all of this seemed to be ignored. The manager was not apologetic on any level and basically just said I can put you upstairs. We decided to stay outdoors rather than move everyone a few minutes after they were seated. We didn’t want to sit outside because it can be uncomfortable depending on the weather and they cram the tables in so that you are constantly making room for the wait staff as they serve the surrounding tables. This night was no different. Two members of our party ordered the lobster bisque and were constantly picking shells out of it. My wife ordered a margarita that didn’t have any margarita mix in it and was just tequila on the rocks. Dinner was average at best, less so because of the shell filled bisque. At no point was there an attempt by the manager or anyone else to apologize for the messed up reservation time or the lack of accommodating three different requests to sit indoors. We have enjoyed previous meals at Mill Pond but this experience made me feel like the manager was completely ignorant as to how poorly they handed a family’s holiday dinner. The attention to detail and concern about their patrons was non-existent.We won’t be returning any time soon.

We booked a reservation on a Saturday night, they sat us right away. We ordered from the restaurant week menu. Ordered a few drinks, server was very enthusiastic and got everything we needed fast. The dining room fills up fast- we sat in the closed in outdoor area, I believe you have to book it specifically for outdoors. I wasn't thrilled about the taste of the food. We ordered everything on the entree menu, the baked clams as the appetizer was So delicious, I didn't even get a chance to take a picture! My cousin ordered the salad and said it was very delicious as well! She recommended! The Pork dish wasn't my favorite, but the sweet potato mash was really tasty. The fish wasn't bad, I enjoyed the veggies more. And the bolognese wasn't my #1. I think I've been here once before- and if I remember correctly I truly enjoyed it!

Lovely setting on the water. Friendly service and great food. I had a strip steak that was perfectly grilled to medium. Sauteed spinach was also perfectly cooked. Only downside on this visit was their cappuccino machine was broken and the were out of while milk?!

We went on New Year's Eve with a reservation and the staff kept forgetting our orders and we were there for three long hours, understaffed and very unprofessional. We will not be returning, this place has gone down hill .

The new menu was very disappointing. We have been going to The Mill Pond for many years and most of our favorite choices have been removed. We could have the same entrees at our local pizzeria and pay a lot less. The staff was attentive, but seemed overwhelmed, especially the bartenders, although there were a lot of empty tables which was surprising for New Year's Eve. We had to remind our waiter to bring the proper utensils for our meal. We will not be returning anytime soon.

They did not advertise that they would have a limited menu for Christmas Eve. The choices featured on the pre fixed menu were not appealing to us. It differed from their daily menu, which we happen to like. They did have a few choices off their regular menu, but again, nothing as substantial as the regular menu. The table next to us didn't seem happy either. The steak offered was a beef Wellington, and the prime rib was switched to a cowboy ribeye which was full of fat. I ended up with a chicken pasta dish, when I had really been hoping for a surf and turf option. No lobster tail on the Christmas Eve menu at all. Disappointing.
