We’ve been going to Nickys for almost twenty years. It’s our neighborhood restaurant and they never disappoint. The staff is always friendly and the food is always great. Standouts include the wings, the steak sandwich, chicken scarpariello, Santa Fe wrap, and the mussels with white garlic sauce.

I am being generous with 2 stars. I enjoyed my visits from years ago. Either I had lower standards back then or they significantly lowered their standards. Appetizers (baked clams and chicken wings) were discount supermarket grade at best. I could overlook the excessive grease in the onion rings, but I could not overlook the long black hairs that came with them Although the booths are small for 4 people, they might be sufficient if dirty dishes and empty glasses were cleared away... but that did not happen. I might have been able to eat the steak (the most expensive item on the menu) but it took to much effort to cut - my dog liked it though (which is why a gave 2 stars and not 1) Tha salad dressing was good - it made the lettuce only salad palatable... ... I could have gotten through the meal if only the beer was not served warm.
