Stupid expensive for low quality bar food. If $27 for a sandwich and fries is not problematic to you, then you'll surely enjoy the ambience of 25a in the background.

Tropical Chinese Bird Rd. Miami Best ever. Dim sum, Peking duck, ribs, shrimp in lobster sauce, chow fun and on and on.

A summer classic! For decades, I've been taking family and friends to The Shack as a summer tradition, often as a post-beach dinner, and I will continue as long as its there. Sitting outside is such a treat, my wife looks forward to this annual visit. Classic cuisine at The Shack we've enjoyed over the years: flounder Reuben and softshell crab sandwiches, buffalo popcorn shrimp, mozzarella sticks, chili, kung pao calamari, the list goes on. And of course the Lobster roll, a classic taste of summer. Always a nice selection of wines and beers, too.

Wish this place was year round. Fish, shrimp, and all the find is cooked to perfection

Do not eat here. The owner does not pay his employees. He doesn't pay overtime yet demands 11 hour workdays and 60+ hours weekly. I've had to chase him down for missing wages along with several other employees who experienced the same thing. We had a gentleman's agreement, which he went back on. The owner is a liar and thief. Not only does he not pay his kitchen, he steals tips from the waitressesDo. Not. Eat. Here

I've been going here since I was a teenager (I'm now an old dude)... this used to be the greatest treat to pull off on the side of a road, get some clam chowder, clams, lobster rolls, fries, beer, whatever... living in Queens and driving out to stop here, was a great treat... for the longest time, after moving out to this area 14 years ago, I've tried to continue the tradition of stopping and grabbing some food... The experience has never been the same. The food is subpar. The prices are truly too high for what you get. There are so many other gems to go to now across Long Island that makes The Shack fall to the bottom of the list. Unsolicited advice: improve the quality of the food... care a little more about value for the experience for your customer base, regardless of the insane prices of food (not in your control). Would love to want to go back here... just give me a reason.

Service was great. Have to love the atmosphere, but we were very disappointed in the food. Fish taco and hotdog were cold. Mac and cheese was very bland and watery. Catfish sandwich was very bland as well. The fries were good. For the price, we probably won't return.

Nice little shop to have lunch. Food portion was good for it's price and free refill on the drinks. Though one thing to improve is the menu description. I didn't know what I ordered was spicy.

Calamari needed a little salt & pepper, onion rings were greasy, Mac and cheese was good, mussels were empty shells and buffalo wings were good.

My husband and I have been Shack fans for years; this is our second visit there this summer. We ordered a cold lobster roll, crab cakes, and fried clams. While still very good, I noticed the portion of lobster salad in the cold lobster roll was definitely smaller than last year's. The amount of whole lobster pieces was also less (most of it was ground up lobster). If you are as picky as I am w/lobster rolls (lol) it wasnt as satisfying as I expected. Crab cakes (2) were delicious, (perfectly seasoned and the right proportion of crab to bread crumbs), if a tad bit overdone. My husband's fried clams and fries were perfectly done and delicious w/crunchy coating and tender clams inside...also a smaller portion than last year. Cost: $70Would we return? Yes, but it isn't our first choice for seafood as it has been in the past.Kid-friendliness: Outside picnic benches and ice cream on the menu make this a good casual spot for kids.Parking: Small private lot; During busy times it's hard to find parking.

Best place in the area for Lobster Rolls, Clam Strips, and Fish & Chips. Great service, but it does get a bit crowded at times for good reason. BEER ON TAP!
