It is an historical site. The only other "tepee" is on the Mass/Vermont border. It is sad that one member of the family left the tepee to further his culinary skill. Hopefully the upcoming warm weather will increase profitability. Actually there were two bedrock symbols of local history. Left standing is the Tepee. The other was P&D furniture, that had little to do with furniture, but was known by the large fiberglass Chicken on 7 outside of Otego. P&D is no more due to the death of the absentee owner in Florida.

Really neat store. Well worth stopping in at least once if you always pass by. Owners super nice had a great conversation. Yea theres generic tourist stuff but also some real neat locally made things and artifacts, their own merch is also actually nice quality, not thin laminated logos but stitched.

When my friend wanted to stop and show me this place he used to come to as a kid in the 70's I was thinking why not. I was surprised at the cool varied selection of quality gifts and usable items here. From Silver Forest earrings to their own brand of salsa and everything in between, this place has a lot of choices for a small shop. Worth the stop. Great view from the parking lot. RV friendly.

I highly recommend stopping and shopping at the TePee! This little gem of a gift shop offers so much for everyone! From Knick-knacks and chachkies, stones, pendents, stautues, games, to some of the cutest one of a kind clothing, quality handmade moccasin, soaps, candles and all your mystical essentials. The owners Dale and Donna are the Best!! They were very helpful and knowledgeable of their inventory, taking the time to explain and help us.
