It is an historical site. The only other "tepee" is on the Mass/Vermont border. It is sad that one member of the family left the tepee to further his culinary skill. Really neat store. Well worth stopping in at least once if you always pass by. Owners super nice had a great conversation. Yea theres generic tourist stuff but also some real neat locally made things and artifacts, their own merch is also actually nice quality, not thin laminated logos but stitched.
When my friend wanted to stop and show me this place he used to come to as a kid in the 70's I was thinking why not. I was surprised at the cool varied selection of quality gifts and usable items here. From Silver Forest earrings to their own brand of salsa and everything in between, this place has a lot of choices for a small shop. Worth the stop. Great view from the parking lot. RV friendly.
