Charges for hot tea, charges for credit card fee. Food came hour and half later. Understaff. Portion is minimal. Hot stone bibimbap came with almost to no rice, and charges for rice when requested.

I love this place with all my heart. I had 1 salmon nigiri and almost cried because I could tell how much love and care went into making it. Please go support these people. The food is great the service is strong and the atmosphere just is so cozy and welcoming.

Amazing! I'm glad I didn't read reviews first, I might have shied away from trying it. After a long day at Legoland, I simply could not bring myself to eat another meal at the Legoland hotel. It's just so perfectly bland and poor quality food in the hotel. So we ventured out. We have some allergies, and we find Japanese to be something we can all be happy with. So we went to Magoya. I can not say enough good things! The food was fantastic, the service was attentive, and there were many authentic Japanese items on the menu. I wish we lived closer, it would become a regular spot for us. Sapporo. Umami. And surprise, Ripieno! Just fantastic. They have gluten free options, dairy free options, and more. You can't make everyone happy, but we were delighted. For those complaining about price, that's how it is. Good quality fresh food and good service has a price. I thought it was way worth it compared to the Legoland restaurant.

AVOID THIS PLACE—especially if you’re Asian or have small children.
What an awful way to end a great day at Legoland. We had three hungry kids (ages 9, 5, and 2.5) and were met with what I can only describe as dismissiveness at best—or outright discrimination at worst. We ordered simple salmon rolls (literally just rice, seaweed, and raw fish—no avocado, no tempura, no sauce), yet had to ask multiple times because our kids were starving. Meanwhile, other tables that came after us got their more complex meals first. No explanation. No apology. No update.

Unless they were catching the fish out back, there was no excuse for that delay. I can’t help but wonder if we were being ignored on purpose—and I don’t say that lightly. To make things worse, the food wasn’t even good. And yes, I still left a tip, which I now deeply regret.

I rarely leave negative reviews, and I’m quick to praise good service—but this place? Absolutely not. Do better.

The sushi rice was very hard and cold, like overnight rice. The most important thing is that you will be charged a 3% fee when paying by credit card. Not worth recommending

Went with my daughter and grands. The place was nice and clean. The bimbap was delicious, we had the sushi roll with seaweed and mango, the kids loved it along with their chicken katsu. The crispy fried dumplings were amazing! We were pleased. The Sushi man’s attitude was a bit “sour” not even a smile. But the female server was pleasant, she even stirred my Bimbap. Would I go back? Sure.

Whoever gives this place less than a 5 star review has bland taste in food and does not know how to recognize good service.
SUPPORT LOCAL!
If you don’t know what to order, I always recommend the Tuna Avacado as a starter,, the Spider Roll, or one of their bento box (highly recommend).
This is a family owned business, and they’ve served excellent food every time. I have almost tried everything on the menu, that’s how amazing each dish is.

Honestly wasn’t bad just overall weird experience. I didn’t enjoy my sushi as much as I would have liked to. I was honestly scared by some of the textures in my spicy tuna roll. Their dining room is aesthetically pleasing but I would say the restaurant itself is in an awkward place (like parking and residence near it seemed confusing). We were the only ones in the restaurant, so service felt a bit awkward but server was very attentive. I don’t personally think I would go out of my way again for it.

Nice place and the sushi is great. Little pricey, but great quality sushi. Love the spicy crab salad/ kani salad. They make it so different than other places. It’s a must try. Like the soup selection, wish they have something with gluten free noodles. Dessert menu is great too.
