Had a reservation. Arrived early and had a drink at the bar. Was kept informed as to when our table would be ready. Specially cocktails were great. Seated shortly after our reservation time. Very short wait for our server to take drink and dinner orders. Salads and dinners were great. Server was prompt and efficient.

Went to Clayton to see a show at the Opera house. Upon arrival Channelside was the first place I went to. I had the Shrimp Scampi, salad and chocolate cake for desert. Everything was 6 stars. Everything was fresh and homemade. This place shines in everyday. My waiter was Dan, and his Hawaiian shirt in October and charisma matched the quality of food and bought everything together. I went to many other eating establishments and Channelside was the only one I visited twice. There really is nothing critical to say about Channelside and if you visit Clayton this needs to be on your list. This was also the first time I could not finish a desert...the deserts are an entree themselves. The best thing, if its not made from scratch then its sourced locally
..a small buisness supporting small buisness. Channelside, keep it up and don't change! Also the prices for waterfront dining is not unreasonable.

Twas our first and last time, to try the Channelside cuisine. The shrimp bang, bang, was undercooked and served on the cold side. She then had the philly cheese dinner, which also was undercooked, with a slight gamey/overly salted flavor.
The service was best given by the bus boy, whom at least brought my wife a straw for her drink, which we asked our server for 20 mins prior.
The poutine was nothing more than fast food fries with basic gravy. Definitely needs to improve at minimum up to par.
I had the meatloaf and potatoes, bland and also, once again undercooked.
All together, $89.00 worth of dissatisfaction. To the extent of, stopping elsewhere, to fill up on. Prior to returning home.
The server should have noticed, due to our plates, clearly attempted but left full.

Broiled seafood and pork chop were over cooked. Was supposed to get green beans with pork chop, non were served. Waitress noticed pork chop was overcooked but did not bring it to managers attention. Overpriced for quality of food. Sunset view was spectacular. Just adding a note that the restaurant never offered to take the dry pork chop off my bill, I only ate about 1/4 of it.

This restaurant is very very loud and was a little slow, but overall it was a good experience. Our server was fantastic and his wife also works there and helped our table a couple times. We all enjoyed our meals. We ate inside, but just inside from the back patio and it is a stunning view, especially as the sun was setting over the water.

Inside and open air lakeside seating. We got the 50/50 burger and loaded fries and everything was out of this world. Staff was great and everything else was top notch.

We've been coming here for over ten years and have no idea if ownership has changed , but it's looks like greed has compromised food quality to the utmost. The place is still on the water. The view is lovely If you eat on the deck. They keep the bathrooms clean. The place is cleaned , there's no complaints here. However, staff is definitely overworked.I saw waitresses with too many tables. Some of 8 people . It was so loud in here, we didn't even know that there was music outside till we finished dinner and went outside for a walk. But let's get down to the nitty gritty , the food. This used to be the place to come for lunch for the catch of the day.Everything was superbly fresh salads were crisp and delicious soup was out of this world! I thought it was bad that our salads were wilted and had dead black pieces in them. But when they brought the tray of salads for the eight people next to us all their salads were wilted too. I made sure to look and to look well. I got the scallops and shrimp my other half got seafood pasta. This food was fair , but nothing to write home about. Their dessert offerings saved them from a 2 stsr review. I don't particularly care if they were brought in from the outside. There was a large variety and they all looked delicious. We brought ours home with us and it was very good. They definitely need new kitchen management and a chef who is aspiring to be the greatest one in the new york region of the lakes. Plus owners who aren't afraid to hire extra staff for evenings and weekends.
