Awful! Not professional, staff doesn’t know what’s going on and were rude. Second time we ordered food then when we came to pick up, they had no idea what was going on and oversold the specials. Needs new management.

Cold-hearted, ignorant, and racist people who clearly haven’t traveled outside their hometown for generations. Would not recommend unless you enjoy racial stereotypes.

Fantastic service, fresh and well prepared food, in a quiet and cozy environment. I would stop here 7 days a week.

High and lows. Received a warm welcome and my server was friendly and attentive. The clam chowder was tasty, but the bits of clam were quite tough. I originally wanted the bisque, but I was informed that they had received the "wrong shipment" and couldn't guarantee my satisfaction on it. The broiled perch from the St. Lawrence River was tasty except for one fillet that was tougher than rawhide - I literally couldn't cut it with my knife. I asked the server about it but never heard back - oh well, I was full enough from the rest of the meal. The baked potato was good. The coleslaw was the standout dish; big, fresh, crispy chunks of cabbage in a zesty, peppery dressing - I've never had anything like it. I would like to give a higher rating, but that one rubbery piece of perch was really off-putting.

They have no affiliation with River Rat Cheese, FYI.

What a fun little place and such good food! Staff were all very pleasant and efficient! Serving lots of fried fish along with a few other items (think home style cooking), this place hit the hungry spot after a day of sightseeing. Unpretentious but super clean and friendly, food was homemade and cooked perfectly, very reasonable prices. Don’t forget the pie-take a slice home of the homemade choices to enjoy with coffee for breakfast!

Good, friendly owners. Hats off to Pam and John and the supporting staff, including Todd the bartender.I stayed in room 7 which is right on route 12. The A/C unit they have in the room was solid. That is, it kept me cool but maybe more importantly it didn't rattle like mad like lots of places I've stayed at. It also muffled any outside noise. The room was solid...basic cable and tv. Also had fridge and microwave. 2 double beds - mattresses were nice a firm if you like that and the pillows good. What I also liked is they actually had a few blankets...some places these days don't give you much to get warm. There is a restaurant/bar connected to it that has a nice sized menu. By all accounts, the place is mobbed every night. I recommend the perch to anyone who comes up this way from there. From that location you are almost dead center between Alex Bay and Clayton. Boat ramp is right down the road 1/4 mile.

Haven’t been here in over a decade and the only change has been in decor. Totally upgraded. The Mae West has only gotten better if that’s possible. Stuffed sole was buttery and cooked perfectly moist and frog legs were hopping off the plate delicious. Our sweet server was new to the job and was a delight.

We stayed there while visiting Alexandria Bay they mixed up our meal my fish was put on my wife's order and hers was put on my order. The rooms can be updated there's no phones in the room no coffee makers. The air conditioner rattled all night there's no dead bolts on the door or secondary security chain just a door knob lock.
