We recently had an enjoyable lunch at Sandbar. It began with a lucky brake to have an open parking spot right outside the front door. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. My wife and I enjoyed the braised beef and barley soup. It was rich with ingredients. She had the grilled chicken entree and I had the Poke bowl. Both were delicious and a good size. We shared a blueberry/almond ice cream dessert, which was also good. The service was attentive, but not pushy. Overall, we had a nice lunch in a very attractive location.

We went on a saturday night and we had a reservation, but there were people waiting, so from the time we sat down it felt that we were being pushed to finish so they could have the table. I'd suggest going on a weekday if you want to be able to enjoy your dinner. Also.. the lights were up too high.. so on the ambiance.. not the best.

The service was great all around from start to finish. I given my glass of wine almost right after I ordered it. Our waiter gave great recommendations. I loved the soy glazed cod and chocolate lava cake. I also had the chickpea fries as an appetizer but didn't get a picture of them. It is a high end place with a nice ambience. I would definitely go back!

Went there for lunch during long island restaurant week. The portions were generous and the food was great. Excellent service. I will be back again.

Missing a bread plate and small knife. Waiter did not notice until I told him. Did not come to refill water glasses until asked which was after meal was completed. Gave us the wrong bill. Have been to Sandbar a few times and this service was not up to the standards of service received prior.

We have been here once before and everything was excellent... This time, the food was mediocre. We live in manhattan and it is a nice, short drive to a sweet community . we will probably return, and hopefully the food will be better .

Bartender was new and my drink came out later than expected. Server apologized and said coffee is on me. After the meal. He never offered coffee. Also my husband ordered a beer and it came after entree was served.

Fantastic dining experience at Sandbar. Our food was incredibly fresh and delicious, good portions and presentation, and the restaurant had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our server Brandon was fantastic, providing personalized recommendations and just being very attentive overall. Very positive experience and would highly recommend!
