Stopped in on a Monday night and sat at a cosy table outside. We had just finished a long hike and were more than ready for an ice cold lager and some good food. The charcuterie board and french onion soup were lovely; as were the steak sandwich and steak frites. The aioli is really good too! I just wish the sauces didn’t come out in little plastic takeaway tubs. The crème brûlée was really good too! And our waiter was fab: funny, warm, and obviously knew the food and drink...
My wife and I visited Le Bouchon during our first visit to Cold Spring last weekend. It is a cozy, retro-type place with a choice of indoor / outdoor seating. We were indoors. All of the food we ordered was delicious: French onion soup, Fua Gra, the steak and lamb burger. French fries are just right there: not greasy, but irresisible. Jesse was our waiter: a down-to-earth guy with impressive sense of humor. This spot will definitely be on our radar next time we are in the vicinity....
One of the best meals I've had in a while! The food was fresh and delicious, and the servers had an excellent grasp on the menu. One of the few places where asking for a recommendation actually feels worth my time.
