I meet the most wonderful woman there at this wonderful place and married her my wife jenette she will deeply miss all of her wonderful and loving customers but I will take good care of her and it will be great having her home thank you all so much for your years of patronage and I'm sure we will be seeing some of you around good luck

As I look out & see not one light on in this cozy family restaurant, it saddens me to think it is permanently closed after 45 years serving Colden. It was a great gathering place for many. Now it is time for a new chapter in Jeanette’s & Cheri’s life. Thank you both for sharing your time with us. Good luck in your future endeavors. You will be missed by many!

So....I ordered what the waitress referred to as “The Heart Attack Special” today (I think she made that up in the spot.). I just HAD to try the homemade sausage hash, the smothered homefries, and two eggs over easy. Note that I did NOT have any toast. It was ridiculously delicious and satisfying. Turned out to be about $9.50. We love it here and manage to get down every once in a while. The food is always great and the little dog Mason is always around to welcome us.

Great breakfast. Early birds breakfast with salt rising toast, smothered homefries and sausage patties. I swear the sausage is either homemade or locally made. One other thing that surprised me was the coffee. Not your typical burnt diner cup o' joe. It'sthe little things that matter, wnd they have it taken care of Jeanette is a pleasure to chat with, and her daughter is the cook. If you're in the area, just stop, you'll be happy you did. They're open til 2 everyday, Friday, they're open til 8. I will be returning.

Second time disappointed. Hoped they could redeem themselves, but no didn't happen. First time the server rushed us to order. I told her we'd let her know when we were ready as we had never been there and wanted to check out the menu. That didn't work for her as she came back in less than a minite, pulling out her book and pen and statiEng what are you ordering. We couldn't get refills on our coffee. And only 2 of 4 of us got straws for our water even though we asked for straws 2 more times. Today I came in and wasnt busy no one greeted us. I love dogs with a passion but to not even ask if we would mind a dog under our feet was off putting. The seats of the booths are still all torn up and the holes are duct tape. I ordered bacon as did my husband. Both of our bacon was cold. We came in at 8 and can't even get warm bacon. I told the server and the cook microwaved it. Ive Worked for 2 other family restaurants and i would never expect ppl to eat precooked bacon when its not busy nor would I serve microwaved bacon. i enjoy somewhat "floppy" bacon, but it became charcoal when microwaved. And I also did not have a straw again. Do they not use them anymore? If this place is perfect for the town and indicative of its towns people all I think is trashy, hick which is not my opinion of the town. It may have been a good addition to the town when it first opened but it needs more effort in the quality of product and the restaurant itself needs desperate repair.
