The ambiance is outstanding, very cozy and romantic. We did, however, feel rushed through from beginning to end. While the food was delicious, it was a bit pricey.
The food was all delicious! I would advise against drinking there. Way way overpriced. 3 glasses of a 12 dollar bottle of wine was 36 dollars. 20 dollars for a manhattan served in a martini glass.
Food was subpar. Undercooked veggies, twice baked potato was inedible. Crab cake delicious.
Great restaurant, love the ambiance, consistently great food and drinks-Chuck makes great choco martinis! Highly recommend and worth the drive!
This restaurant is a gem...so warm, welcoming, and beautiful. Our food is always delicious, our server was wonderful and very attentive. Looking forward to another visit!
Very good service and food. We had to wait for over a half hour past our original reservation time!! Nothing complimentary offered. Maybe this is a common occurrence? Otherwise, the evening was wonderful..
Been to the Mill many times, & it seems the food & service is either really good or below average! This time only the cocktails & bread pudding dessert were worth having!
The food was exceptional. We brought our parents to celebrate my husband's birthday. Everyone enjoyed every bite. Our waitress was lovely and on top of everything. We truly enjoyed the live music however it was a little loud and it made it hard to chat at the table. Our dads were smiling the whole time as they sang along so it was worth it.
Sat outside, food was delicious!

Tucked away in Colden, New York, the Colden Mill Restaurant isn't just a meal, it's an experience. Housed in a charming, historic mill dating back to the 1830s, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Exposed brick and rustic touches transport you back in time, while the elegant touches ensure a comfortable and memorable dining occasion.
But the true star of the Colden Mill is the food. Their menu boasts a celebration of fresh, local ingredients, showcasing the bounty of Western New York. From melt-in-your-mouth cuts of steak to creative takes on seasonal vegetables, every dish is a delight. On our recent visit, we were particularly impressed by the [mention a specific dish you enjoyed], bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection.
However, what truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service. Our server, Marissa, was a gem. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly, she made us feel welcome and valued throughout the evening. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her enthusiasm for the restaurant's offerings was infectious.
Thanks to the delicious food, charming ambiance, and outstanding service from Marissa, the Colden Mill Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a truly special dining experience in Western New York.

The Colden Mill is a lovely restaurant, quaint. We went on a Wednesday night, there is live music, not too loud or obtrusive to diners. The menu is small and hasn't changed in 3 years. They did have 2 specials to choose from as well. My wife chose one of the specials: pecan crusted chicken with mustard sauce. The breast was tough, which is frequently the case when you fry an entire breast rather than filet/butterfly it. The sauce was watery and flavorless and the veg overcooked. My beef stroganoff was fine, but served with penne pasta rather than the traditional egg noodles. We had a bottle of wine (nicely priced) and a chocolate peanut butter tart that was huge (glad we split it) and quite good.
My wife and I went tonight to have a nice dinner. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. My wife had the two way French onion soup. Both were excellent, we even got an extra to take home to my son and he loved it as well. I had never had a roasted salad before and am definitely glad I tried it. The roasting adds a nice twist to it. Both of our entrees were also extremely well made and delicious. We also very much enjoyed the atmosphere. Overall a really great dining experience. We even had a slight mishap that was very flukey. The owner handled it immediately and went above and beyond in doing so. If you’re looking for a nice sit down restaurant, we would highly recommend it and we will definitely be back.
Absolutely delicious! Hidden gem is a must try for the non-locals. 7 min down the road....glad to find this great small place with excellent dishes and low key, intimate country vibe.
