Good casual local restaurant plus a full bar. All of the employees are efficient and pleasant. All of the food we ordered was good. We were skeptical but it's true. There was a wait of a few minutes so we took a seat at the bar and ate lunch there.

We had dinner at Doubleday Cafe October 18, 2025. It is easy to find on the historic, picturesque Main Street. It was the best Reuben sandwich we have ever eaten. Rebecca, our server, was very friendly and energetic. She explained the corned beef and whole turkeys are cooked right there in the cafe's kitchen. We wished we could have eaten there the next day to try the turkey. We had tried to get seated at several other restaurants outside of town and were glad they were full once we discovered Doubleday Cafe. Try it. You will not be disappointed!

I ordered a hot open turkey sandwich to go. At home I opened the container and for over $15.00 I expected more! I got 4 slices of toast with a small mound of turkey and no gravy. So disappointing and loss of $15!
