We live about 30 minutes from Cooperstown and we’re feeling a bit cooped up due to the cold weather so we decided to go for a drive. We ended up in Cooperstown and, omg, the cutest town ever. As a Baltimore girl and an O’s fan, it was so cool just to walk around a bit. We saw the Double Day Cafe and went there for lunch. Honestly, I think we were just expecting the usual pub food touristy mediocre place (you know what I mean) But no. This place was SOOOO FREAKING GOOD! I had the veggie burger, it was really cool to see an old school homemade veggie burger on the menu. It was delish! And the avocado on top was perfection. How? I don’t know but it was. Also, the macaroni salad was the best I’ve had in a long time. Kind of smoky-ish flavor? So good My friend had a burger. He loved it It hit the spot. Our server, a young woman with glasses and light brown hair (I know, I’m horrible, I can’t believe I didn’t get her name) was awesome. Easy breezy, doing her thing, attentive to everyone, and just all around super cool. Made our day!

Really friendly staff, and really good food at reasonable prices. They were very accommodating to help with wheelchair accessibility through their back entrance.

Good casual local restaurant plus a full bar. All of the employees are efficient and pleasant. All of the food we ordered was good. We were skeptical but it's true. There was a wait of a few minutes so we took a seat at the bar and ate lunch there.

The place had a cool vibe and was packed for lunch even though the rest of Main Street was empty. The Reuben was really interesting, with finely shredded corn beef.

Very busy place due to well prepared food and location. A perfect spot for a bite after visiting the Hall of Fame.

We had dinner at Doubleday Cafe October 18, 2025. It is easy to find on the historic, picturesque Main Street. It was the best Reuben sandwich we have ever eaten. Rebecca, our server, was very friendly and energetic. She explained the corned beef and whole turkeys are cooked right there in the cafe's kitchen. We wished we could have eaten there the next day to try the turkey. We had tried to get seated at several other restaurants outside of town and were glad they were full once we discovered Doubleday Cafe. Try it. You will not be disappointed!

Ate here for breakfast both days we were in town & the food was excellent. Our server, Michele, was very nice & welcoming when we told her we were in town to play some baseball. The portions were perfect & we did not have to wait long either day.
