We recently stayed here for a visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame, and while the location couldn’t have been more perfect—just a short walk to the museum and great nearby restaurants—the overall experience had a few downsides.

The highlight of the stay was the beautiful waterfront view from our window, which was peaceful and relaxing to wake up to. The location is truly the hotel’s biggest strength.

The room was okay, though not the most comfortable. When we arrived, there were some leaves and gravel on the floor, likely tracked in from the lot. The bathroom had only a pedestal sink, which made it a bit tricky to get ready—there was nowhere to set toiletries, do makeup, or put in contacts easily.

The beds were on the softer side, which may not be ideal for everyone. Parking was also a bit of a hassle; the gravel lot is small, and depending on how others park, it can be tough to get in and out.

Overall, it’s a solid 3-star hotel, just as Google says. I probably wouldn’t stay here again, but if location is your top priority, it’s worth considering.

The only thing this place has going for it is the location. Walkable to all things downtown Cooperstown.
The view is nice.
The restaurant’s food is one star above mediocre. No coffee maker in the room, but there is coffee in the main office. That coffee was not very good. Room temperature managed by a mini split right above the bed which blows directly on you.
Housekeeping staff walked in on me without knocking while I was standing there buck naked.
Extremely expensive for a two star Motel.

Absolutely unbeatable location! Easy parking, gorgeous lake views, boat access, and amazing rooms. I booked for a weekend music festival without much research and was pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was. Clean rooms, beautiful grounds, great service. I cannot recommend highly enough. There is plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the views, I lucked out and saw peak foliage on my stay. The lake is clean and beautiful, depending on time of year your stay includes a free boat tour. The attached restaurant is an easy walk, has discounts for hotel guests, and is so accessible. Very happy with my experience and I will be back!

Pros: the beautiful views; there was designated parking; we appreciated the showerhead aerator; the close proximity to everything (we walked everywhere!); the food at the hotel restaurant was good (if you sit outside remember there are lots of bees this time of year!).

Cons: parking is tttiiiiggghhht; the heat/AC unit is attached to the wall above the headboard which would have wreaked havoc on the sinus had we turned it on and the power light on that unit shines in the face all night; there was an overall damp smell to the room; water temp fluctuates during the shower (not scald/freeze/freeze but noticeable).

Staff was a little prickly. Biggest concern, lack of hot water for showers.

Stayed for one night. Beautiful views and food was good as well as friendly wait staff. The room was small, no fridge and the air conditioner blows right on you.
Definitely not what I expected for what they charge.

Such a great place! The location is absolutely perfect. The view is stunning. The office is super accommodating and friendly. The rooms are cooled by only a mini split air-conditioning system, so it really struggled with keeping the humidity out of the rooms. This hotel could serve as a vacation destination, all on its own!

We stayed here many years ago although we ate at the restaurant this week. If I remember correctly, my wife did not care for the rooms. Maybe it is different now. The location is good, right by the lake and the docking of a lake tour boat. The boat is different now. I like the old one. We took a ride the last time and I enjoyed it. I had a beer and felt a bit at peace. The area is loud due to the tourists from cooperstown. Very busy time of the year, not for me. But if you are here for the baseball hall of fame, you would have to put up with it.

We are only here for 1 night and this place is charming! We love older mid-century motels and this one is quaint yet updated. There are some negative Nellies commenting on things like the bathroom and TV size. For crying out loud, most of y'all watch TV on your phones anymore, so what does it matter if the room TV isn't gigantic? It's fine. As for there being no vanity in the bathroom for all of your toiletries, how much do you bring?! There is the back of the toilet, a shelf over the toilet, a corner shelf and the entire dresser top. Or rough it and live out of your ditty bag. We love this little place and our view is worth every penny! We are right on the lake and can watch the ducks eating. Maybe the price doesn't phase me because I live at the Jersey Shore and know all about seasonal lodgings. The price we paid for our room seems appropriate for the location and time of year. Additionally, this place, like many tourist area hotels and motels, is only open seasonally. People need to meet expenses and make a living in season and off. You want cheap, stay at a Motel 6. Highly recommend.

Rude and unhelpful wait staff at an Inn that charges 400.00 per night for tiny, basic rooms. We have come for many years but the rudeness of the bar staff has ended this tradition as of 2025. We will pay more for the resort and look forward to being treated with basic civility.

The room was okay. Small but clean. The bed was fine, not the most comfortable, but not the least. I was in a downstairs room, and I could hear my each one of my upstairs neighbors' footsteps. The view of the lake is wonderful, as is the proximity to the BHoF, which is a five minute walk away. The attached restaurant is decent, with a friendly staff, standard food, and a very nice outdoor seating area right at the marina. If you like ducks waddling nearby while you eat - I do! - the outdoor seating area is for you.

We were on the bottom floor, the rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable. There weren't many people checked in when we arrived and it was quiet. Location is amazing and convenient. My only issue was our last night someone was in the room above us and it sounded as if they were coming through the ceiling. Try to stay in an upper room.

Great place to have dinner! Great views

It's nice and it's clean. The location and views are solid. The doors have a weird feature that makes it so you can lock yourself out even if you have a key. I would recommend it to a friend.
