The absolute best place to get married. I cannot say enough about how special Origins Cafe is. They are SO SO kind and are so skilled at making your vision come to life. Incredible food/drinks/atmosphere/people!
I recently attended a wedding here and it was the most beautiful, incredible, magical wedding I've ever been to. Origins Cafe curates such a gorgeous and calming atmosphere and I couldn't recommend a place more.
Still thinking about this place over a year later. The food tasted so fresh and the garden/greenhouse was dreamy. Very good atmosphere here but it is a but expensive
Just a fantastic place to go with great food atmosphere and staff included. Especially the current bartender lol!
Food and drink are inventive and beautifully presented. Try the Lavender Bee's Knees - vodka (or gin), honey, lavender syrup, garnished with sage and served in a martini glass. The burrito bowl with chicken is filling and tasty. Lunch is a no-rush, no-hurry and sedate event. Relax and enjoy@
The menu is limited but has good variety and the food was delicious. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and we ate in the greenhouse - fantastic. My only complaint was the burrata appetizer was kind of small for the price.
Amazing experience. Love it!
A uniquely magical place. The food and drinks are delicious with locally sourced ingredients. The atmosphere is lush and clearly well thought out. We had a great brunch to the sounds of a live harpist. We will be back when in town to try other menu items!
This place is hands down the restaurant gem of Cooperstown. My husband and I came for the weekend for work and tried other spots, but no restaurant compared to Origins.
We came for brunch on Sunday and they had a live harpist playing. It compliments the dining space well with hanging plants and citrus trees surrounding you while you eat. Our waitress (Madeleine) was attentive and warm, even with a room full of customers. The food is absolutely outstanding. A changing daily menu with local, organic food. Everything together made for an amazing experience from start to finish.
We got their pear French toast bake, along with a chai smoothie and a breakfast panini and organic coffee. Everything tasted fantastic!
Wish I could give this place 10 stars! I was so impressed. My advice - get a reservation beforehand. We were so glad we did, it was very busy (for good reason!) We will definitely be back on the next work trip!

On a scale of 1 to 10, the atmosphere is a 8.5. Two primary issues were the lack of lighting to read the menu and mosquitoes. The food is 5 out of 10 (average). I had the eggplant cacciatore and they added sugar to it, so the dish was sweet and not savory. In addition the meal was tepid, and the polenta was soupy. I could not eat most of it, it just wasn’t good. The carrot cake was dry and the cream cheese frosting was overly sweet. The wait staff was inattentive, the only time they came to the table was to deliver an order.

Incredible energy! There is so much care and attention to detail going into each and every menu item. Delicious smoothies, nourishing entrees, divine desserts. The plants and garden decor provide a beautiful ambiance. Every member of the team was smiling, kind, and welcoming. What an amazing place! Can't wait to come back.

I love Origins. I visit every time I’m home in NY!
No photo, but the turmeric hummus was INCREDIBLEEEEEEE. A must order!
I had the soba noodles. The kimchi is slightly odd on this plate, but the noodles with pickled onions on top and added tofu on the side (extra charge) are wonderful.
Would love to see more vegan main dishes offered in the future! Or “vegan option available” listed on more plates. For example, the black bean enchilada is not noted as vegan option available, and I feel like it very well could be.
The vegan chocolate mouse was great! You did have to eat each bite with a hazelnut, otherwise it is too light and more towards chocolate whipped cream than mouse. I would be happy to see less chocolate and more nuts in the ratio, keeping the recipe as is!
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options
Dietary restrictions: Would love to see more vegan options in the future!

Brunch on a sSunday was perfect. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier, service was spot-on, food was interesting and delicious. Had Aperol Spritz, goat cheese & beet salad, French toast and Soba Noodles with Chicken, Flourless chocolate torte for dessert (two adults, one child). Such interesting “takes” on ordinary menu choices. I wish I could have ordered one of everything!

This is the only place in Upstate NY where you can functionally experience a Caribbean bodega. The restaurant is family ownd3r and operated by a lovely staff - all food is farm to table (or some nonsense; it's organic and vegan and whatever you want it to be - there are edible flowers that come with basically every dish; shut up) and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the black bean burrito or any of their salads. This is where my mother in law wants to spend her birthday every year and she can go wherever she wants.
If you visit Cooperstown and like live music, a jovial staff, vlended feuit drinks, steel drum percussion, the rainforest, and equitable food to any fancy schmancy city fare - you simply must stop and eat here.
Don't get take out - sit and eat; worth it.
