Mom and Pop place with a good inventory of snacks and menu of sandwiches and breakfast food. I got ice cream here -- they have a freezer of Blue Bunny and other brands in the back -- and was quite satisfied. Great place to stop after hiking around Mount Washington or Bash-Bish Falls.

It's right in front of the campsite, so it's a perfect place to buy supplies you need while camping.If you need ice or firewood, you can walk from the campsite in 10-15 minutes, and it's perfect for taking a walk while eating an ice cream milkshake.However, the people who work here seem a bit annoyed... We ordered at the counter and picked it up at the pickup area on the side of the store, but when we told them that it was different from what we ordered, they told us several times that we had ordered wrong and their eyes rolled...I ordered a banana strawberry milkshake, but what came out was a banana milkshake.When I told him it wasn't our order, he said, "You ordered it like this," so I was dumbfounded.There were a lot of people in front of the deli, so we could hear what everyone was talking about. Other people who had ordered before us also received the wrong item and asked for it to be remade, and our friend who went with us also asked for a waffle cone, but forgot to order and asked again at the pickup area which cone to get.When we told people that we had ordered wrong, another person next to us also said that his order was wrong, but he told us to just eat it and that it was delicious. Of course, since we came to have fun, we can just eat it even if it turns out a little wrong, but it doesn't feel good because they get annoyed to our face because we ordered the wrong food.In the end, he said he would make our milkshake again. They say you can make a banana strawberry milkshake just by adding strawberry chunks, but I'm not even mad because it's absurd that they make it while serving all that unpleasant tea.Looking at the comments, people here say they really like it... I don't know.Later, after receiving our order, we sat on a chair next to the deli and ate it (I don't know if they got our order wrong at the counter or just ordered it and left), but the pickup area kept yelling that the ice cream was out, but no one came to pick it up. Then, a few minutes later, an employee came out with ice cream and asked angrily who ordered it. He got so angry that he threw the ice cream in the trash can next to the deli and went in.

We always stop in and grab a sandwich when we visit the falls every summer. This place is straight out of a fairytale book. The owner is such a nice guy.

We’ve been coming to Taconic State Park regularly for about 10 years. This deli is perfect. Good sandwiches, firewood, beer and a thoughtful supply of camping goods make it incredibly useful. And the people are always warm and smiling.

My family and I have been camping a Taconic State Park for years. Everytime we go, we make a few stops at this deli for essentials, drinks and dessert. It is incredibly convenient for campers in the park to pick up things they may have forgotten or knew not to pack knowing this deli is here. Have all that you maybe looking for from firewood to tarps. Many fridge cases of an incredible variety of beers. Also has a well optioned deli. During our last stay this past weekend, my kids fell in love with their perfect soft serve twist...had to go back at night for seconds after getting one for lunch. I had "the engineer" sandwich wrap that was amazing...the type of sandwich I was craving an hour after I ate it it was so good. My daughter also fell in love with their fries. She enjoyed them so much she ordered them the next day for breakfast as we were heading back home. The staff were so accommodating that they turned on the frier to make her a batch. I have been coming here for years, cross my fingers it's still there each time I come, and they get better each time with the addition of their special sandwiches and desserts

Horrible service very rude. I ordered a turkey and cheese, bacon egg cheese sandwich and chicken fingers with fries it was 11 a.m. I waited 30 minutes for my food because the fryers weren't hot enough! If they told me to wait for them to get hot enough i would have just ordered another sandwich! cold eggs on this sandwich it was disgusting. It was only 1 egg!! After I arrived back at the campsite I see there was two chicken fingers and a couple of fries when I ordered I asked how many chicken fingers and they told me 3 to 4 so when I got back to the campsite I had two pieces I went back to the store and the lady said I dropped one of the pieces in between the fryer! Soooo why didn't you put another one back in the fryer instead of letting me go home to find out I have two chicken fingers and you charged me $10.50 I'm from Midtown Manhattan and these prices are higher then there she charged me $8.50 for sandwich on a ROLL with three slices of turkey and one slice of cheese for that price I could have got a nice healthy sandwich on a hero. They are rude and disgusting. I would rather just drive out another 20minutes to Walmart and made a 3 course meal for their prices. How dare they?

This happens to be the very start of Section 3 of the Northeast Backcountry Discovery Route (NEBDR) and right across the street from Taconic S.P. Campground. This is a wonderful store - deli, great beer selection, AND the best cinnamon buns on the planet. Truly a general store that will have what you are looking for!

Outstanding !My wife and I had a delicious turkey bacon avocado sub for lunch. And we bought some of their new alcohol infused ice cream, six pints one of each flavor. They asked if I would let them know which was my favorite, They were all delicious. If you're in the area try it you'll like it.

The best homemade pie!!! You want this, trust me… get a pie. Get two. I should have gotten a second one. I’m back in Brooklyn and I regret not getting the cherry pie to take home.Convenient and cozy shop, with the bonus pies!

Very small yet convenient if you're camping nearby,you'd be surprised what they have available.Friendly service, store was clean.If you're afraid or allergic to bees...i wouldn't sit outside the store. There must be a busy hive nearby.
