Josie the Mother Owner of the bakery needs to come back and look over her bakery she has her daughter who always has an attitude there who is making horrible cakes dry and hard a lot of times they look and taste frozen. I ordered a cake this weekend first was the cake color was wrong than was just nasty I felt bad even giving that to my guest....

The truth is I paid more than 200 dollars for a cake that didn't look like the one I sent the photo, very apart from that!!! The dough is a very sweet and dry part, not soft, it seems like it was made from old cake, the truth is, it was a big disappointment, it only served me for the photos!!! I wanted to comment to see if they try to improve this way!!! Luck

Call in the morning around 10am to order a pineapple-filled cake. The person who answered my call told me that I could go and choose it since they were already done. I arrived at the place at 1:30pm and they only had pink cakes. I told them if they could change the color of the cake or put something on it to cover the pink since it was for men. The disgusting woman told me that for that I had to call early and order it. Drive 40 minutes for a cake. I don't understand how a bakery can't change a color of a cake. The customer service was super terrible! I will never return to a place like this!

Came here 10 days ago to place an order was given a phone number to contact to give them the details Sent numerous messages And no response pick up was at 12 today. They called 15 minutes before pick up to ask howI wanted cake I never heard back so I figured I would get the cake elsewhere and just pick up my deposit some other time. So I stoped by Someone came to speak to me, was extremely disrespectful All that was said was that when doing business there needs to be some type of communication and The person I spoke to responded with it’s a $85 cake what was I complaining about it’s not a big deal horrible customer service it’s not about the money it’s about the fact that people come here to order something for occasions if you’re looking to get a cake for a special occasion, definitely don’t go here. Luckily, I thought fast and ordered it elsewhere once I seen there was no communication they also kept the deposit which they need more than I do so that’s fine

My cake fell apart the frosting and filling fell off the cake. Paid $65.00 dollars and basically got told that it was my problem.i been getting cakes this time of the year for the last 4 to 5 years now and the young lady basically said its not our fault cakes are made to go from there to place where cake is getting served which it was but the frosting and filling separate from the cake. I am sorry to say this .i will never tell anyone about your bakeryThe people who have i told i will let them what was told to meThe cake was for grandpa who turned 77 on 12 27 23. He also adores your cake due to it reminds him of BaniDominican Republic

I ordered a tres leche cake for 20 people and it was huge and deff feeds more and for a reasonable price. The cake was absolutely delicious and everyone at my Friendsgiving loved it and went back for seconds. Great customer service and easy order process. Highly recommend! Thank you so much !!

Hands down the BEST Dominican cake on Long Island. I’ve ordered cakes for birthdays, my wedding and more recently my second baby shower. The cakes are always fresh and high quality. They are great about looking at inspo photos and making recommendations on cake design based on your budget and size of the cake. They have a loyal customer! The staff is great and always friendly. Thank you Josie’s Cakes for always making our events that much more special and memorable with your delicious cakes and deserts! Our guests and even vendors ALWAYS ask me who made the cake so that they can order too. I cannot recommend them enough.Did I mention they also can do cake pops, cup cakes, cookies and tres leches cups?! Perfect for a sweets table. Loveeeee this bakery!

VERY MISLEADING…I’m so disappointed. I was told that these cakes were amazing. I went to get some samples for my mother’s 75th birthday celebration, and they were GREAT. Spending $6 a slice, my sisters and I tried two different flavors and love them! We decided to take the leap and order a custom two-tier cake for this past weekend. We weren’t expecting many guests, so we wanted 1 1/2 pounds, but Josie said for two-tier cakes she starts at 2 1/2 pounds, which ended up being $235. My sisters and I were apprehensive but again, took the leap and placed the order. Before I continue, it should be known that we are Dominican so we KNOW what Dominican cake tastes like. This cake was horrible. NOTHING like the samples. So dissatisfied, especially since the cake was so expensive. We tried calling Josie’s, but an employee said we should’ve brought the cake back? On a Saturday night? DURING THE PARTY?Who does that… The only good thing about Josie’s Cakes are the empanadas, unfortunately…

Thank you Josie's cake for this delicious guava "Dominican" cake! The frosting was so fresh, and the perfect level of sweet. The guava filling was also perfect. I only asked for a mint green color and you guys delivered a beautifully decorated cake. Gracias por el detalle mínimo y classico. Aparte de que quedó bello, quedó delicioso!!
