Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Large portions. Flavors were great. Chef salad and a Turkey Reuben.
Pistachio Gelato was creamy but lacked a strong Pistachio flavor. Service was great!

I stopped in thought the shop looked cute and quaint. I had a question about the menu. The woman was so rude and disrespectful. I went to walk away and she was upset that I asked about a breakfast menu. She was telling the next employee across the counter and shaking her head.
I will never visit this establishment again.

My wife and I had chicken salad sandwiches which were pretty good, though a bit on the expensive side. Really no issues with the food or cleanliness of the place.

I had more of a problem with the attitude of the waitresses/cashiers. At least three of them were rude. One in particular was very condescending towards another customer who was presumably East Asian. At some point she said something like "yes, roast beef, that's what it's called" and was clearly annoyed by having to deal with them. Even if I wasn't the direct target of that, it was unpleasant to witness. These are your customers. Treat them equally and treat them well. I won't be coming back.

Ordered the chicken & avocado sandwich on sour dough bread, greek gyro in a wrap, harvest blue salad and the Tost.
Place order at counter and pick up yourself. Tables inside and outdoors in a public area on side of restaurant. Also serves ice cream which we came back for later.
Sandwiches were plentiful and all had great fresh flavors to them. Chips and pickles on side. Salad was huge and very tasty.
Hershey ice cream flavors. Coconut had real flakes in it, the peach supreme had can peaches and could have used a bit more caramel on it.

Parking: Forget finding street parking near restaurant and use the public parking one block down. Free parking weekends. Need parking ticket dispensed from machine week days.

My husband and I love Old World. We like the cup of soup and a mini sandwich. The soups are terrific and so are the mini sandwiches. Great food and super staff👍

Vegetarian options: Veggie layer, the globe, the big cheese panini, hummus plate, root and fruit salad, harvest blue salad, chef salad, tossed salad, caes salad, royal caes salad, you can always take things off or add on like hummus or avocado spread instead of cheese.

Dietary restrictions: Let the servers knows. They try their best to help but is not guaranteed. But they definitely let the kitchen know so they are careful to use a new glove and wiping a surface. The only thing is they can't do anything about the grill so if you have a dairy allergy but want a panini, it's not recommended because there's butter on the grill.

Parking: Street parking is free but can only park for 2 hrs. They're very strict on it. There is street parking on first Street if you want to stay longer, you just have to walk 2 blocks and cross Denison prkwy to get on market st. Then there's paid parking lots behind the buildings on market st, both ends.

Kid-friendliness: There's a kids menu and we have indoor and also outdoor seating. They also have 2 high chairs.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not really accessible for wheelchairs and strollers but it's possible. You climb up a step to get in the front door, and there's a step in between the middle of the cafe between the ice cream section and the lunch section. And a step to go down out the back way to get to the bathroom in the back lobby. It's just the way it was built. It's an older building.

I stopped here for lunch and had a turkey and cranberry sauce sandwich that was delicious with an incredible amount of ingredients on it. I then did some shopping and came back and got an ice cream that was so refreshing in the heat. Then shopped some more and got a chef salad to bring back to my hotel room for dinner later. That too was loaded with fresh ingredients with a dressing (balsamic I think ) that was very tasty. All in all great food!!

I went looking for some food; the old world decor is what captured my attention and lead me to eat here. I have been to some old fashioned soda shops and places like that some of which are still around. This is a nice example of decor that has stayed true to that style. I ordered a panini, the ham and cheese toastie. It was delicious and plentiful. It was cut into three large portions, I could only eat two of them and brought the third home. I initially planned to get lunch and then grab ice cream but there was such an uptick in people coming in I left after lunch. I’d go back anytime I’m in the area. The food was delicious and the decor has the old European style that had been popular in so many earlier American shops.

Kid-friendliness: It is kid friendly. While I was there, several families with strollers and carriers were seated near me. This is a lovely place for families.

Nice small cafe. Really cool vibes and nice staff. Reuben was excellent and the turkey bacon panini was okay. The chips included were not great.
