Ordered a small coconut cake and 50 cupcakes for my daughter's wedding on Oct 26. They were AMAAAAAAZING!!! Absolutely delicious! And decorated beautifully!!!

Ordered a turkey BLT as a crepe with a side of potato casserole at exactly 9:39 a.m. After waiting 30 minutes, I received a stone-cold crepe that seemed to be prepackaged instead of made fresh like typical crepe places. Meanwhile, the “potato casserole” looked suspiciously like a scoop from a crockpot. To top it all off, this masterpiece was served on flimsy paper plates, the kind you find at family potlucks. Not exactly the “artisan cafe” experience I had in mind.
And let’s not forget the kitchen ambiance: constant door slams and beeps from what was clearly microwaves. When the forgot our bacon, we watched through the kitchen opening the bacon being reheated in the microwave. The baked items in the case looked good and seemed fresh. There was a constant line for cookies, etc.
Final verdict? Left disappointed about my breakfast. Would go back and try the baked goods. Hopefully, they will be a better option.

Before you plan to go to this so called " little cafe " , remember they took 50 minutes just to toast 1 croissant. Save yourself some time and money by avoid going to this place.
What a special treat to eat here! Try the lavender lemonade! And the crepes! They have fig/bourbon crepes!

Popped into Poppleton Bakery on a rainy morning for a quick breakfast. The cafe appears charming until you wait unaddressed at the counter for an extended period. The wait gave us ample time to witness the disaffected moping of the two girls apparently forced against their wills to work there that morning. The line cook plunked plates in the serving window with a disgruntled, “order up…” We were unsure if her partner in crime heard the announcement, because she walked off and disappeared for a bit. When we were finally addressed, it made me sad. The girls both stared blankly at us unable to answer simple questions about the menu - their responses limited only to what they had run out of earlier - which was odd as it was still early and the cafe was not busy. I ordered a hot tea and when I asked about their selection, I was pointed to a condiment station and a smattering of bags that looked as if they were found at the bottom of your nan’s kitchen junk drawer.
The baked goods were handed across the counter to us in wet cellophane. Gross.
Baked goods were either undercooked or wet from being in plastic for so long. Gross.
Uninspired food. Depressing service. And as everywhere now in America was asked for a minimum 18% tip for service.
Seeing as most of the storefronts on Market Street are vacant, Corning locals are not spoiled for choice. Glad I’m not a local.
(Speaking of locals… while we were eating, a demanding guy grilled the poor girls with pointless questions and opinions. No wonder they appear defeated by life.)
Will not be returning.

The food and drinks were nice enough, the sweet treats were cold and wrapped in a thick layer of cellophane. The two girls behind the counter were either stoned or just ineffectual and Im not sure which would be worse. We stood at the counter for about 5 minutes making heavy eye contact waiting to be served and when we were served the employee seemed reluctant for us to give her money. Which we were giving plenty.
Safe to say I smashed the no tip button.

We recently visited Poppleton Cafe and had a very disappointing experience with one of the staff members. She was extremely rude and unprofessional, unjustly blaming us for a situation in which we were not involved. Such behavior is completely unacceptable and does not reflect the service one expects at a cafe.
Due to this incident, I will never visit this cafe again! I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue to prevent such occurrences in the future.

The workers looked miserable and the portions were tiny for how expensive it was. However it was a pretty cool little shop

Their crepe is disgusting , cold spinach with feta cheese inside a cold omelette folded in half encased by a thick crepe with a tasteless mayonnaise on top. Canned peach fruit on the side. No quality or care in this place. Observe the place before you order!

Yum! The first person wasn't very helpful. They walked away when my mom was trying to order but someone new helped. The caramel peanut butter chocolate chip bar & pecan pie bar were amazing!
