Parking was a bit difficult to come by on a Saturday night, but the garage out back was free on weekends. The Lamb chops were excellent! Foccacia with olive oil was good, as were the marinated olives. Service was a bit clunky, with dri ks coming out staggered, as well as entrees coming out quickly on top of apps. We both got the shrimp pasta puttanesca which was good, but nothing to write home about. Great selection of whiskey and other spirits, and my after dinner port was great! Atmosphere was bustling, and a bit loud (likely due to the tin ceilings), but we could talk and be heard fairly comfortably. A good experience with tasty food, but with a few kinks to work out service-wise.

The wait was said to be 15-30 mins. We sat at the bar for an hour and a half and didn't get seated. We sought dining elsewhere and we're very satisfied with the place across the street after leaving.

Our Friday evening at The Cellar was culinary perfection. Delicious drinks, tasty appetizers, unique entrees and decadent desserts. Our server was attentive throughout the night and timed the arrival of our courses perfectly. Great atmosphere and a nice place to go if you want to avoid the “noise” of other Market Street establishments. So nice to be able to converse without having to yell to be heard. Very highly recommended.

The food was unique and absolutely delicious! My friends and I went there for my birthday and it was a fabulous time.
The Cellar Is one of my favorite restaurants in Corning, New York. We go there probably about 4 to 5 times a year and every time is an amazing experience. My husband and I went there last night for New Year’s Eve dinner and it was absolutely amazing. Lisa W was our waitress and she is so delightful and so kind. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion. They have a variety of food and they really pay attention to dietary restrictions. I have celiac and they have a great variety of dishes that are gluten-free.

Made a stop in Corning NY on our way to Buffalo and absolutely loved it here! The portion sizes were perfect and everything was so flavorful! Be sure to get the homemade ice cream for dessert too!

Visit the Corning Glass Factory and make reservations for the Cellar. Ask for Leif, the entire experience will be comparable to the museum and factory, that is how great this place is. What a great find and we will travel 2 hours just to eat here again. We tried 5 appetizers, one better than the other. Unique, out of this world flavors and Leif knew this menu inside and out. We promise to try the scallops on the next trip!
Lisa was a fantastic server and our meal of olives, focaccia/olive oil, soup, chicken/waffles, scallops and fish was delightful!! Our 13 year old tried olives and a seafood soup for the first time and was a fan!! Thank you for fantastic service, food and memories. We had eaten here in the summer of 2023 when visiting and were excited to bring our son here to experience a fantastic meal!!
Creative menu. Great service. Lots of holiday parties while we were there for so a little too noisy.
This is a great spot for craft cocktails! We came here before dinner elsewhere, and the service was quick and kind. I had the Fig in a Blanket, which was unique and delicious, along with an espresso martini and a raspberry martini. Everything was fabulous! While we didn’t eat here, the food smelled divine. It does get busy, but we arrived near opening and had no trouble getting a seat at the bar. Looking forward to returning next time we’re in town!
