The perfect place! It's difficult to find nice places with good vegan options. Not only did The Cellar have many vegan options, they were also clearly listed on the menu (that's harder than you think to find!) and detailed what the ingredients were and where they came from. The server (I wish we remembered his name to we could give him credit!) was awesome. He knew the menu and when we had questions he never had to use the line "let me check on that." Highly...
Everything about The Cellar is wonderful! The food, the waitstaff, all excellent. Except the ambiance. Well, actually the ambiance is quite exceptional too - and well appointed. The industrial, pleasant, dark atmosphere is very appealing - along with the local artist's paintings hanging around the room. The major drawback is the sound. There are no sound-absorbing materials in this large room - where the exposed heating ducts and other physical structural items reside. Hence...
The Cellar has become our go-to spot for special occasions, house guests (especially the vegans), and just anytime we begin to miss really innovative, healthy, and tasty cuisine, served up by some of the most engaging and accommodating staff you can find.
