Any reason you can’t just get a glass of tap water? Like I know you have water.

Tried this place three times over a year in order to let them work out the kinks and improve. Really really tried. Really really wanted it to work since it is local. But....

The food is super mediocre. Always our meals were breakfast/brunch: Dry eggs. Bland potatoes. Generic toast.

You cannot get more middle of the road food than this- not good, but not bad. Sufficient to maintain biological functions. Nothing to be excited or tell friends about though.

This wouldn't be a big problem if that was all.

Went in there one weekend with my visiting parents and siblings. We were the only patrons in the place. We were sat under a large television that nobody was watching and was disrupting conversation due to its volume, and after about 20-30 minutes we asked the server if we could turn it off. They went away to ask management- ok that's no big deal we thought, we are the only people here and nobody is watching it.

After a few minutes some random guy, not sure who he was but he was wearing sweatpants and slippers, comes out and argues with us about how the TV is always on. Definitely sent the message that he was not going to accommodate us. Our tactful declaration that there was nobody else in the establishment, and nobody watching the loud inconvenience, seemed to anger the individual even more.

So it's usually better to let some things pass, and since we were almost done with the disappointing meal, we dropped it after a few minutes. This place absolutely lost future business through our family though.

I suspect the owners are business people first and food people second. Little thought goes into the dishes or the design of the (generic) setting. This establishment is a way to make a living and not a calling to the gastronomic profession as finer restaurants (of any price point) always are.

The service we had was impeccable, though.

This was our first time eating here, although we have been meaning to for a while. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming and very clean. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive - and the owner was just as sweet and a fellow veteran, so we instantly fell in love with the place. The food
was absolutely delicious, came out hot and fresh and the portions are phenomenal! Great for kids, as our son is usually a picky eater he devoured his breakfast! The coffee was also hot and delightful, overall the best breakfast we’ve had since moving up here, we will most definitely be back!

Don’t come here if you have a toddler that tests you or throws tantrums. The owner lacks empathy and will snidely point out in passing that your toddler shouldn’t throw a tantrum(ex. Throwing themselves on the floor) because they’re busy, even though you’ve been trying to wrangle them in the whole time being there. I don’t think Frank knows that tantrums don’t stop at 2 years old, terrible 3s are a thing. Our food also took a very long time to come out, which I understand it’s busy but that remark and the long wait time certified to me that I will not be coming back. Our waitress was lovely and I appreciate her checking in on me, she deserves every tip and more! Hopefully Twins will become toddler friendly in the future!

My husband & I were deeply disappointed with our breakfast at Twin Eating House. First off- they don’t have water and charge $3 per water bottle. I found this to be ridiculous and a cash grab. For food, we both got eggs, toast, and home fries- simple enough. I also got bacon. The home fries were chewy and unseasoned, the bacon super fatty and not worth the $4 up charge. The only positive thing I can say is that our server was kind and attentive. Overall, the food was mediocre and overpriced- we will not be coming back.

Service was lovely. That said, the food was overpriced for its quality and charging for water is INSANE. We were told that tap water was "unavailable" but the large party that was sat next to us was accommodated with multiple pitchers of ice water.

The owner is so wrong for so many reasons, regarding a recent review, don’t know where to start!!

1 - Many businesses change bad policies or pricing structures over time - so it was 100% reasonable to ask if owner guy still charged for water (still nobody else in the area does). This question was asked before the menus were handed out. Look at the other reviews, obviously the pay for water strikes a nerves…It would be reasonable to ask if this guy reversed bad policy, after all why would anyone think they would have to pay for his water??

2 - It is not that the food is so good, but more that Fiddlestix was closed for vacation, otherwise we would have been there.

3 - Nobody was intimidated or harassed, just a simple question was asked.

4 - Food is expensive, not only $2 for water, but almost $4 for ice tea. And costly main dishes. He misses no opportunity to over charge!

Ugh, would not go back even if the water was free and other prices were reasonable!

If you want to pay for overpriced mediocre food, be charged for a glass of water, and be harassed by the owner for asking about the water charge, this is the place for you!

The waitress was nice enough but when she asked if we wanted water, she did not disclose that it was for a fee. Since someone in my party had been there previously, we asked if they still charged for water. The owner, Frank Frasca came out in a huff, clearly angry and argumentative. Possibly he had a bad morning or something was going wrong in the kitchen, but it's not unreasonable to ask about surcharges that are not immediately disclosed. I have never been to a restaurant that charges for water. Mr. Frasca's behavior was embarrassing, and he clearly wanted to make a scene. Possibly so no one else would ask about a water charge?? When it was time to pay the check, the waitress came to the table with a handheld credit card machine and told us the amount. She didn't have a check to give us which I found unusual. We asked about getting a check since 4 of us were splitting the price. This seemed to stump her, and it was only after she ran my card was, she able to give us the paid itemized bill. Clearly, this establishment is trying to hide the surcharges by not presenting a check before taking payment.

I only wish I had read the reviews since clearly; I am not the only person who had this experience. I would have been better off going through a McDonald’s drive thru since I would have had the same quality of food and I would have known what I was paying for.

$2 for water is robbery. $50 for 2 coffees and 2 breakfast entrees is outrageous. Food was mid.
