We had high expectations as we have eaten at restaurants in resorts in the past and always been very pleased. However, this was such a disappointing experience. I had booked reservations for three nights, and after the first night, I canceled the other two reservations. The service was unbelievably poor. There were only four occupied tables in the restaurant and yet we had to get up after having waited a long time to ask for water and the drinks we had ordered, including a soda. The tenderloin steaks were about 3/4 of an inch thick with no discernible flavor. The lobster bisque soup and salad were fine.
Food and drinks very good. Service very slow. Needed to remind waitress to get our drinks and ask for bread.
I had been here once before and loved it so we brought our friends this time. It was just as good as the first time around! The food was amazing and the service was excellent! A lot of us got that same thing and it was consistent across the board, and drinks were delicious. Our waiter/bartender was amazing and was extremely attentive. (Rick) even helped when we asked for a birthday dessert for our friend who was eating with us!
Disappointing Christmas Eve dinner. No holiday decor, greeting or menu items. Server was not experienced, did not explain any specials, could not answer questions about standard menu items. Food was fine, not hot when served. 14 oz prime rib special was luke warm when served. My daughter's filet was over cooked. Best part of meal was sautéed mushrooms at $15/side. Server did not properly present a smoked whiskey old fashioned, so smoke flavors evaporated immediately. Brussels sprouts were simply tossed on broiler, no oil or seasonings resulted in tough, undercooked, room temperature side. Dessert (chocolate pate) nothing close to menu description - a dense chocolate mold with raspberry syrup which tasted mildly of chocolate with an unpleasant gelatin like texture. For over $75/person, an extreme disappointment. No one inquired about how are meals were, no “thank you” on our way out. We are local and will never be back. Try Dryden Hotel or Dashers in Homer if you're looking for a warm, welcoming ambiance, reliably great service and quality food.
Nice food, takes long time to get it and it some of the dishes were cold. Too expensive for the food quality
Line local, first time here (even though we are season pass holders at Greek Peak) but likely the last.
The good: server was great very personable and real, atmosphere is actually pretty nice as well - fancier type restaurant even had me pick out my steak knife of choice. Drinks were ok… was drinking old fashions, standard I’d say nothing special.
The bad: in orders a filet and scallops,
Medium rare for $60 - my wife got the prime rib special $42. Waitress came to tell my wife the prime rib would lean on the medium rare side which she said fine. Food came out and my filet was cooked well done, prime rib looked great and was very thick but was also well done and extremely dry. I don’t think I’ve ever sent food back at a restaurant but it’s a steak house and I wasn’t going to eat a $40 dry well done steak. Wife also sent back her prime rib and switched to meatloaf. Manager came over, I showed her my steak she agreed it was cooked wrong.
Waited 20 mins food came back out - wife’s
Mashed potatoes were amazing meatloaf was mediocre at best. My filet was again well done - i ate the middle and saved a bunch to show the chef - manager never came back. Waitress was great so we tipped her well.
End of the day, a steakhouse should no how to cook steak and they don’t. Manager is useless.
Go to the exchange in Homer woe the boatyard in Ithaca - this place can stay off your list.

Beautiful place! The service was very slow but when we got our food it was cold, so i think we might have been forgotten.
We had such a lovely meal here with our children and nephew that we were visiting at SUNY Cortlandt. Food was delicious and surrounding were so pretty. I wish I remember the name of our server she was wonderful. We will definitely return on our next visit. Highly recommend.
The Ribeye is outstanding and cooked perfectly to order. We also enjoyed the calamari. We will be back.
We ate there the other night....nice atmosphere, waitress was pleasant. So so regarding the salad....the rib eye was delicious. Bread and butter good. What I don't care for are the charges for extras like a baked potato and/or vegetable...whatever.

We just had an absolutely lovely meal on Labor Day! We ate outside and had incredible Tomahawk steaks! The calamari, cesar salad and arugala salad were all awesome as well. Kids meals excellent. Service and ambience divine. The fires were lit and the drinks were awesome. Daisy is a great server who took great care of us. Couldn’t recommend Carver’s more!

We always enjoy eating here while bringing our son back to the college. Very enjoyable dining experience
Very surprised how good a hotel lobby synth use could be. 3 of us all ordered different meals and apps and all delicious . Pasta, rib eye and a chicken dish. Crab cake, onion soup and spinach artichoke dip and small salads. All excellent. Great wine list too.
Daisy was AMAZING! She gave us the best service we’ve had in a long time! Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, she made our meal feel special from start to finish. We’ll be coming back for the great food — and for Daisy’s outstanding service!

We had lunch and dinner at Carvers. We were a little nervous of what we would be able to find off season at a ski resort but were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant here! Service was very friendly and attentive, the menu was varied and the food was good. Wine and beer list was also good. Generous portions, we would definitely come back again if we’re in the area. Patio is also really pretty at night.
