The food was pretty good, staff was very quick to help. Honestly the fish was good but the chicken was amazing. Not many choices in cortland and this is worth a try if you like fish. A little on the expensive side but kind of expected due to where they are located.

I think it's time I speak out. The past few times we have gotten food here wasn't a very good experience. Yesterday was the worst, I had ordered Fish nibbles and scallops. Both were over deep fried! Couldn't really eat them. The scallops were like chewing on a rubber ball. Very disappointed yet again.

If the enticement of enticement of fried food is calling, Doug’s has the answer! We sampled a number of items and all were solid in their respective categories. The haddock (which we ordered without a bun) was surprisingly meaty and had great texture, definitely a step above what I was expecting of a faster food fish and chips. Most impressive to me were the shrimp and bang bang shrimp. Even at mid range restaurants, where wait staff takes your order, the batter seems to be hiding inferior shrimp; not so at Doug’s. The shrimp were also meaty and moist and a bit larger than I had expected.
The caramel sauce on the pre-portioned custard Sundaes stood out with buttery sweetness, however, the “Phone Home” with peanut butter was our favorite, followed by the caramel, fudge and Oreo, then the Snickers, fudge and caramel.
Online ordering was a little unclear when trying to order combination meals. Staff were friendly and helpful at pickup.
I anticipate going back for the haddock (and the Bang Bang if I want fried shrimp).

DON'T BUY DOUG'S GUMBO! Ordered a cup and got rice and gumbo sauce with one small piece of chicken. NO shrimp or andouille sausage as advertised. Since it was takeout, I didn't discover it until I got home, so no way to complain to management. Lesson learned... check it before they pack it !!
This place makes the best soup in the winter time.. you are able to get some only on the weekend if you hurry ,It's so good that they sell it fast!
