Fat Jack’s BBQ is permanently closed. I used to love this place and ate there all the time when I lived in Cortland. I was in town running a few errands recently and wanted to stop in for a bite to eat, but all the lights were off and the doors were locked. Their phone number is also out of service. Very sad to see this place shut down!

I thought I'd try it out while I was in Cortland. The price on the menu was not what I was charged. It was $4 more. I understand that everything is going up but had I known the actual price I wouldn't have ordered the half rack with 2 sides. The sides were edible nothing great. It came to $26.too much in my opinion. This summer when it's time to take a ride on the motorcycle this place will not be on my destination list.

Dry rub ribs, delicious. Very good collard greens. Good service. Very personable owner. I look forward to visiting, again.

Our visit was good, yet interesting. As soon as we walked into the door, we were greeted by staff that wanted to make it clear "limited menu tonight due to staffing". Okay, so we sat at counter and menu was majority dried foods and two sandwiches. Literally no true BBQ on the menu. Now, I get the help shortage the pandemic has caused, but seems this is an every Monday menu as it was labeled "Monday Night Football Menu". Might I suggest atleast one or two traditional BBQ type items to be offered. Although I suspect its the prepping is the issue. None the less, what we had was good. The local craft beer selection was priced at $3, cant go wrong with that.We will be back. Might I also suggest they fix and paint the spot in ceiling. Maybe put some kitchen doors on so when staff care to blast Slipknot or hardcore rock, so the sound doesn't carry to dining room.

Loved the brisket and sides! Had Mac n cheese, barbq baked beans, and cornbread. Brisket had the fat on which is awesome because it adds so much flavor, cooked perfect!Well done and a great "go to" place for great barbq!

Ordered for my office staff and brought back to find they have changed their fries to a flavorless and probably cheaper option. Which is ironic because none of their online menus have accurate pricing, even their online ordering through Chow Taxi. This is super frustrating when you are picking food up for other people, and to top it off this will be the second time my order has been incorrect. I was willing to pay extra for a side I could eat. Instead I had to throw half my meal away because I received the fries I can’t eat. Everyone in the office threw their fries away because they were so bland.

Today was my first time at FatJacks, i was recommended to go their by the friend, but after this visit I will not be coming back nor will I ask said friend for food advice again. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich which took half an hour to get and was honestly sub par. I’ve had better from a gestation, my friend ordered the Memphis platter for $18 with a side of mash and a side of Mack and cheese, not only was his order the driest meat he’s ever ordered, on top of that there was no Smoke flavor at all, the Mack and cheese would’ve been better had it come out of a box, the smashed potatoes, we’re incredibly bland. We were also given one of the weirdest sauces I’ve ever had. Thank you for wasting my money.

Amazing menu of barbecue selection in sandwiches and platters. Ribs are tender and I tried a side of red beans and new Orleans seasoned rice. Have a full bar selection.

Tried Jack's for first time and will be back.Love bbq joints and this place did not disappoint. Had a 4 meat sampler and enjoyed everything. Pulled pork, brisket, chicken and burnt tips. The burnt tips were a standout and may be the main course next time. Brisket was also very good. Sides were good. My friend had similar platter but added ribs which were great. Not the greatest atmosphere and the service was nothing special but the food was good. A friendlier staff would make this place 5 stars plus.

Very tasty. The chicken breast and the brisket were my favorite of the meats that we tried (we did not try the ribs). And the coleslaw was my favorite of the sides.
