I just had a delightful dining experience at Hydes Diner in Cortland/Homer. It was very busy but we got seated right away. Grace, our server was so friendly and fast. She explained that her grandmother was the owner and cook and her aunts were the manager and waitresses. A family business. I had a senior breakfast of 1 egg 1 pancake and 2 slices on bacon, and I was very happy that had sugar from syrup. Hubby had 2 eggs 2 sausage real home fries and toast. The bill came to $15.66. The food came out very fast, hot and cooked perfectly. We were on the road and just stopped there by chance but we will definitely plan to go back there again.

They made a mistake so I left . Can't stress the length they went to make it up to me and my staffs orders alike. Owner personally brought our order back to the shop free of charge . Will be back !

I always try to find a local place when traveling rather than national chains. I was not disappointed. I had the reuben with fries. It was fantastic and they had malt vinegar. It came to my table very quickly. The price was amazing for the quality. Place was full of locals. Great experience
