Way over priced. Burnt Calimari. Charged for things we didn't order-double shot. Charged for salad dressing we didn't receive. Sticky pasta. Food just overall was bad.
Great food and awesome atmosphere!!
Don’t come here for steak.
Come here if you want the bar tender to finger your drinks.
Dine here often. Only place in town that I can get escargot! Everything is delicious.
We just had a wonderful family meal here. Everything was really good- down to the salad! We ordered a little bit of everything and highly recommend the coconut shrimp app and stuffed cherry peppers. All our entrees were delicious and plenty of leftovers. The service was excellent and the everyone very friendly. Highly recommend!
Long story short: overpriced food that isn't well-cooked.
The picture below is of their chicken caprese. It cost $22 for that. $22 for a portion that small (bread for scale) is pathetic. When I got home and saw that, I felt like I got ripped off. In addition, the pasta was no better than what you'd get from a box, the chicken was overcooked, and the tomatoes...well...you can see for yourself. The whole thing was a soupy mess.
It's absolutely criminal that places like Rex's charge NYC prices in Cortland. Places like this prey on people's ignorance, because they know their customers don't know any better. Well you can't pull the wool over THIS customer's eyes. I see you Rex's, and you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Bottom line, if you like being overcharged for low- to mid-range food, go to Rex's. Otherwise, you're better off buying and making everything yourself. It'll taste better and cost less.
Great food, very attentive staff ! We will definitely return!
We really enjoyed the food, server was great, prices reasonable.
I waa at Rex's on Tuesday evening with 2 friends. It was my first time since they first opened. I ordered a salmon salad. Sounds plan? Oh it wasn't!
It was probably the most yummy restaurant dinner I have ever had. The greens were hearty but so flavorful with a semi sweet dressing and slivered almonds. The salmon was a big portion and so fresh and perfectly cooked and also covered with yummy almond slices. I don't care for raw onions and will make sure to order without next time. Also! I took half home and it completely held up and stayed crisp and delicious. I'll be back for sure. Service was excellent too!
We were greeted immediately with friendly service. Everything was super delicious from the bread, to the salad - I know, salad, but all the ingredients were super fresh and the dressing was delicious and they’re not stingy with it - to the pasta and sauce. I had the Alfredo which was so creamy and buttery and my husband had the ravioli and meatballs with a mixture of their regular and their spicy sauce. Chef’s kiss. Highly recommend.

Super good red sauce and even better Alfredo sauce
Great food and service, but it’s like eating dinner in a warehouse. I’ll certainly return when in the area again.
Best steak in Cortland. Spicy sauce is incredible.

Amazing Italian food that hits the spot every time. Their burgers and sandwiches are also amazing. It is a little pricey but for the amount of food you get it is DEFINITELY worth it!
