Absolutely the creamiest, dreamiest soft-serve custard in the Buffalo area. Native to Western New York, I relocated to California twenty years ago. I'm sorry to report: "soft-serve" in the Golden State is a poor excuse for the real thing. It's got no structure--your tongue cuts right through it in about three licks. Also, I'm pretty sure their cows aren't as happy as they claim to be. So, whenever I go home for a visit, PJ Cools is my first and final stop.This custard is rich, sweet, and silky on your tongue. The texture is similar to softened butter--it melts slowly in your mouth. One cone comes complete with a thousand pleasant memories. What's more, the interior of this place is an explosion of kitsch: old-fashioned cartoons and advertisements line the walls.If you live anywhere near this magic little shack, don't take it for granted. Grab the wife, the kids, your Mom, your Grandma and whoever else you can think of, load them in the car and get there before another second slips by.

My daughter & I went for the first time. Great menu, lots of options. As a mother of an allergy child I love that they are hyper aware of allergies. They have specific ice cream machines used only for those with allergies. The owner went out of his way to greet us, introduced himself and asked how everything was, then took time to chat with us for a few minutes. Highly Recommend you will not be disappointed

So if this little ice cream shop were closer to me, I'd be there every day. Not just because of the amazing selection of ice creams, not just the friendly service, not the grass roots events they do in the community, but rather because it has ALL those attributes in spades! When I went in, the owner was there and was extremely pleasant, detailing the different things I could get as a gluten free person. I had many choices, but ultimately decided on ice cream nachos which he made exclusively gluten free for me. We talked about the events he does in the community for kids and this man's face just lit up as he talked about it. The nachos were delicious, as was the soft serve. The store is small, but well worth squeezing into. I absolutely love it here and I can't wait to come back to try more options! I highly recommend this sweet spot,regardless if you have kids or not. It's a place where magic happens.

This place has lots and lots of items and combinations, almost too many. The service my family received was good. The staff was polite. I really just wasn't impressed at all. It was just ok, nothing special. The place is also very small.

BEST ice cream place in the Depew area! Huge variety of amazing ice cream dishes and many unique creations. Joe and crew are super fun and very accommodating. The place is really cute with old-fashioned decorations and outside seating as well. Also, great for ice cream cakes for special occasions! We always make this a spring/summer/fall "must" for desserts!

The employees that work there are super friendly and helpful. Stopped by to get an ice cream cake for a co workers birthday. The menu options were vast and has something on there for everyone. The portion sizes are generous. I got a specialty sundae and could not finish all of it. The prices are reasonable. They have a small indoor seating area as well as an upstairs. They also had a disney princess there you could take pictures with. It is a cute little ice cream shop.
