We decided to try this place out as we always go to the same two restaurants. The staff was amazing and so personable. The food was delicious and they accommodated our special requests with ease. My son ordered a hot chocolate and they went above and beyond to make it special. They also had gluten free bread for my friend who had a gluten allergy. We will absolutely be back!
Usually Cala’s in Derby is wonderful however upon takeout of a Reuben sandwich for some unknown reason the cornbeef was traded out for roast beef. Needless to say, this wasn’t realized until I reached my final destination 20 miles away. When I go back I will tell the owner so hopefully this never happens again. First unpleasant experience ever so I’m willing to give Cala’s another go around?
I sponsored a morning brunch the day after after my son's wedding. We originally expected 30 some guests. When almost 50 guests showed up, the host immediately made the necessary arrangements without hesitation. The brunch couldn't have been any better. The food, the friendly service, everything was terrific. I actually felt guilty tipping only 22%.
