While we were waiting he let family members try each other's orders with the left overs from the blender. He treated my mother with the utmost respect. “This place is amazing. They own a bigger restaurant in canastota ( La Bamba MTZ ). This is a smaller mostly to go restaurant but they have tables and you are welcome to stay and eat. The family that owns it is so friendly, although there aren’t many workers there it’s because it’s a small family business. The food is really really good and it’s definitely more authentic Mexican food. They are happy to substitute items within the menu whenever. One review stated the food is not made there and that is incorrect as I’ve seen them grill my steak when I went right after it opened. Highly reccomended this small gem in Manlius!!“

“Slightly star struck 🤩 as we just met the woman behind ElleRae’s Tacos. My family loves the quesadillas and the tacos—which bring us straight back to the San Francisco Yay Areaaaa when we dig in! (Great food and great service: everyone we’ve dealt with here has been wonderful, and tonight I misread the sign and only later realized it’s ElleRae, like “El Rey,” rather than Ellarae, but the owner was very gracious about my mispronunciation.)“

“Ordered hummus and a falafel sandwich tonight with no sauce ( can’t have dairy). Very accommodating to dietary needs. Everyone there are so friendly and it’s such a welcoming atmosphere. Food was excellent! Hummus has what I think is some sort of cucumber, cilantro mince on top and it has a little touch of heat to it. ( not spicy at all just super flavorful) the sandwich was awesome! Super fresh vegetables in it and the falafel was nice and soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. The perfect bite! Can’t wait to go back and try their smoothies!“

“This. Place. Rocks. I may be biased since I prefer my food fresh, healthy, AND delicious. (I know, right?) The decor is skater hip, with upbeat fun music and — get this — full glass windows on a busy street corner. Whether you eat in alone or with others, your eyeballs, ear holes, and taste buds will all be super stimulated and satisfied. The only complaint I have (a nit, really) is that I noticed on their website that the list of locations numbers only one, Syracuse, NY. Now, I’m not casting anything cantankerous or mean-spirited (e.g., aspersions), but come on, Syracuse! Please share this culinary wealth and add more locations. Other than that, Original Grain made my brief visit to the city (again, not casting or knocking here, only beseeching with gratitude sprinkled with envy). Thank you, OG for the superb lunch!
