Make sure to stop by if you like quality coffee and a large selection of craft beers. Owners and staff are top notch. Definitely a favorite that gives consistently good service.

I’ve spent the past week exploring every coffee spot within 45 minutes of me in Westchester.
This place has extraordinary sources, brewing methods, and service. This is the greatest coffee shop I’ve been to on the planet.
Show up, be kind, there’s plenty space to work or hang and you can taste a coffee unlike anything you’ve had before.

Since moving back to the Rivertowns earlier this year, Climbing Wolf has become my go-to spot. Whether you are a coffee or beer afficionado looking for some deeper cut grinds or beers, or looking for a great place to hangout, read, socialize, Climbing Wolf is your place. I am hooked on their cold brew, and usually sit and do a bit of work on my laptop. The cafe seamlessly transitions into beer sipping later in the afternoon and as someone who doesn't really drink, I can continue to hang out because the crowd is super chill. Owners and staff are lovely, lots of space, good for families. Hits all the notes for me. Love this spot.

I've been coming here for a few years now. My friends and I started playing card games at their tables and the staff and owners have been very accommodating and welcoming. We've flourished into a rather large community and The Climbing Wolf continues to be the best place for us to meet up. The beer selection is always amazing and the staff is some of the friendliest and most welcoming I've ever met. Coming to the Wolf each Tuesday feels like going to a friend's house and it's always the highlight of my week.
10/10, would recommend

Great atmosphere. Coffee was great quality and they had a vegan apple crumb muffin, which was very good!
Climbing Wolf is truly one of those “third places” everyone seems to be craving today. The atmosphere owners JB and Chris have curated is truly unique to any other establishment in the rivertowns. Whether you're picking up a morning coffee, dropping by to get some work done in the afternoon, or drinking late into the night, you will always find a welcoming crowd of friendly faces waiting for you here. Many times I've wandered into Climbing Wolf early in the night thinking I would stop in for just a drink or two, only to stay for hours and make several new friends. Every Thursday Climbing Wolf hosts The Most Useless Trivia, which is a smash hit every time (be sure to arrive early if you want to get a table). Its some of the funniest, and of course useless, trivia you’ll ever attend and makes for a wonderful early thursday night activity.
On top of the wonderful atmosphere, the quality of everything they serve is amazing. From the mornings to early afternoons Climbing Wolf serves amazing coffee and an array of pastries. They curate a rotating selection of different beans from around the world. The baristas are skilled, knowledgeable, and capable of answering any questions you might have, whether you're really into coffee, or just looking to try something new. And lots of the coffee they serve is also available in take home sized bags, so if you love the cup you just bought, you can buy some and have it every morning for the next few weeks!
By late afternoon Climbing Wolf transforms into an incredible craft beer bar with an amazing selection of different beers, ciders, and wines. The 12 beers on tap are regularly rotated so you can expect to discover something new and amazing every time you come in. Much like their baristas, the bartenders are always incredibly knowledgeable and ready to make recommendations (Chris has never failed me!). In addition to the 12 on tap, Climbing Wolf has multiple fridges stocked with canned & bottled beers that you can buy & drink there, or take home with you. Whether you like sours, lagers, ales, stouts, ciders, or IPAs there will always be something for you here.
All and all, Climbing Wolf is a bar/cafe unlike any other you’ll visit. While it’s certainly not the cheapest place to drink in the rivertowns, I can confidently say it's worth every penny I've spent there. I cannot recommend Climbing Wolf enough!
