Awesome and great service. The food was tasty and always hits the spot. They definitely get a 5 star from me

Climbing Wolf is a cafe that I compare all else to, their specialty coffee, atmosphere, friendliness and customer experience is above and beyond. The coffee blows me away each time and it is a wonderful place to be. As a local artist who has hosted several pop-up shops, I can say that the owner is overwhelmingly kind and has been generous in our collaborations. The baristas are also personable, knowledgable about specialty coffee and very willing to share advice for home the coffee enthusiast. Their coffee selection from the bar is always delicious. This is a must for anyone in Westchester looking for a perfect cafe.

Where's the button for 10 stars?? To say this is a special place would be a understatement. Let's start with the basics -- their coffee and beer are both great. Delicious coffee / cafe program, which is only to be surpassed by the amazing beer program. The space itself is a welcoming, warm and a perfect refuge to hang, work, play, socialize or a little bit of all. But none of that is what makes this place so special. The magic of this place is the human connection that happens inside. Sure, probably not what you expect to read about in a Yelp review, but the reality is these kinds of environments that foster human interaction are harder and harder to come by. Just a handful of miles away in NYC, the concept of walking into a place like this and openly connecting with new people would be an absurd concept. But it's this concept that is lived and breathed by Chris and his brother, the wonderful humans behind this place. Chris is a rare find in the year 2024. He literally knows the name of every patron that walks through the door. He takes the time to greet each and every one as they walk through the door, not missing a single one, and immediately making you feel welcome when you enter. He doesn't do this because he has to, he does it because he genuinely wants to. Really quickly, the line between patrons and friends becomes blurred. What's more -- Chris doesn't just get to know the people who enter -- he goes out of his way to introduce you to everybody. In the 2 weekends we went, we met 6-8 new people, many of whom we exchanged info with and plan to see again. These all started with Chris and his subtle way of facilitating human connection. I can't overstate how rare this is to find these days and how much the world needs more people like Chris who are creating more connection in a world full of divide. The culture Chris embodies trickles throughout his whole team. It's contagious. They're all genuinely enjoying being there. How rare is this to find? It feels like you're in the living room of a family that's just really enjoying what they're doing. It makes you want to stay for hours -- which is exactly what we end up doing each time we go. And by the way, we travel from Manhattan -- a city filled with hundreds of beer joints and coffee shops -- just for this magical experience. Keep it up Chris and team, spread the love

A place that pays homage to the origins of beer. This coffee and bear spot is a perfect place to come chill and learn some interesting facts about beers and coffee. Humulus lupulus is also known as hops. In Latin, Hops in the beer community is known as the climbing wolf. The service here is fabulous. Chris is a fabulous conversationalist and knows how to pour a good beer. This place gives off very close knit vibes where someone is always telling a crazy story. I highly recommend this spot for a beer.

This is my favorite place to hang out! Been going for years, staff is incredibly friendly and the store is very cozy. For studying, meeting up with friends or even play trivia, it's the best place ever!

Climbing Wolf is my favorite place in Dobbs. Coffee shop/beer bar/community center - I'm here daily for coffee and a couple times a week for a beer. One of the best curated beer lists in Westchester, and as a sour fan they always have at least one sour on tap, plus multiple cans.

Best coffee place in Dobbs Ferry downtown. Coffee is great, barista is super nice, wifi is provided. Their muffins are also amazing. I only wish they served sandwiches at lunch, but that will only make this already popular place more crowded. Last but not least this place is also a popular gathering place for Dobbs Ferry dogs

Great spot for coffee/tea during the day, and craft beers after work or at night. Cozy spot that is great to hang out in at all hours of the day, and the baristas and bartenders are super friendly -- plus it's welcoming to dogs! They have some snacks and pastries -- highly recommend the Pod Chocolate Chip cookies.

My first visit left me thoroughly impressed with the coffee, croissant, and just the vibe alone. I just stopped in to grab something while I studied across the street at the library, but I will definitely go here to study as well; they stay open late, and there's a good variety of seating.

Top notch coffee and craft beer, what more could one want. The staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable. This time I had 2 rare IPA’s that I can’t find anywhere else, and finished on the house lager. I also picked up some mighty oak coffee, it’s wood roasted and gives a unique experience, I would suggest trying it. They get coffee from different roasters all the time, so the selection is always fresh. 5 stars.

This is a great little shop, very popular for both coffee and beer. The baristas are very professional and perform great latte art. I've never had the beers here, but maybe I'll change that this fridayWheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs at all

Maybe a great place for beer, but sad to say this was the worst coffee I’ve ever had. The first cappuccino tasted sour…I thought the milk was bad, and the second cup of a different brew wasn’t much better. When I asked the guy who made it to check the milk, he said it looked fine and then actually took my cup and drank out of it, and said it was great! That was strange in itself, but I was surprised that he’d think it was great! I really thought I had gotten sour milk! I’ve driven by Climbing Wolf many times and always wanted to check it out, so I was excited to try it and when I saw the place was packed I thought I’d be wow’d!!! What a huge disappointment. The shop itself is really big inside but setup in such a way so there is always someone underfoot…not a relaxed place where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. I travel the world and have had some of the best brews anywhere, and Climbing Wolf was truly disappointing. If you’re looking for a great cup of coffee, I think they’re alot of better options locally, including the gas station.

This spot rules. Coffee house in the AM, Brewpub in the PM. Its not overpriced and you meet cool people popping in and out!All the Barista's & Bartenders are really cool and the ever changing veriety of craft beers never ceases to impress. The local Wolf ? Population, although small in numbers, does indeed approve!

So happy there is a dog friendly cafe near our home! The place is so comfortable and staff were friendly and welcoming. The music playing in the background was A+ and the cappuccino and herbal tea was delicious. All we had was a cake pop but that was yummy too! Will def have to come back out for one of their events and try the beer!WiFi was fast and prices were reasonable. Overall a great experience and super recommend it! ❤️
