Had to put 1star in order to add review.
( Actual Review *0) Extremely disappointed with both orders placed Saturday evening for
Chicken Francese
Linguine w/ white clam sauce.
Both orders lacked any seasoning/flavor whatsoever. Seemed to be cooked without any garlic , lemon, or white wine.
ABSOLUTELY TASTELESS/LACKED SEASONING
Chicken was tender, not overcooked but again chicken & sauce lacked flavor. Clams in linguine were good, but pasta sauce was VOID of any seasoning.
I have ordered these very same items many times before and have always found to them be truly delicious. Perhaps they changed chefs?
Maybe to some $60.69 isn’t a lot of money for a takeout meal, but all I know is that if I had eaten my meal there I certainly would have sent it back. Extremely Disappointed , & wouldn’t recommend or return again.
Delectable classic italian specialties served in a warm and friendly setting

After checking on our property, the Mrs& I finally had lunch here, we passed by many time and on the outside it looks tiny, but inside , they can cater & reserve a party for 20-25 . We came to have lunch on Friday , and wasn’t crowed because most people are at work, only the locals are here to socialize. We ate peacefully and enjoyed the food . Service was quick and fast, the decorations puts you in a scene of old Italy while listening to Italian music. We ordered : fried calamari/ fried meatballs , bolognese/ tortellini nonna, our meal was made well prepared fresh. Good portion . Very satisfying. They have lunch & dinner menu. Til next time dinner can be hectic as per our waiter .
Had lunch here today with an old friend& neighbor of mine, it’s been at least20 plus years since I was here last, great& nice wait staff and delicious food, calamari special with peppers in a vinegar sauce, great pounded veal pizzolia, with a side of great Al dente rigatoni , plus veal parm & a great slice of chocolate cake. Wish this place was near me, great food& super nice staff. Please support this local classic establishment.

Had Chicken Scarpariello , bone in , which is hard to find in Chicago. Was Delicious , the wait staff were friendly, funny and helpful! Highly recommended 5 Stars !!!!!

This was a teacher's summer getaway weekend and the hotel suggested Scaramella. We ordered Lasagna, eggplant Parmesan, stuffed mushrooms, and the Beet 🥗 salad. Everything was fresh, tasty and plentiful!!! We did have reservations but next time well dine in. We smelled the fresh roses when we stepped inside.💛

Dined here Saturday night with my husband and daughter for the first time. Our waitress was very lovely and attentive. My drink, a cosmo, was excellent. My only gripe is that I ordered the Scallop Risotto dish and the Risotto was severely undercooked. They offered to remake the meal and it was a lot better the second time but still mildly undercooked. The scallops were delicious but overall difficult to enjoy when the other half of my meal wasn’t cooked properly. We were offered a drink and or dessert on the house to make up for it but in my opinion, my meal should’ve been comped at that point. Cute experience but likely wouldn’t return.

Great portion sizes, foods great as well. Went with a group of 6 everyone was happy with their food even though we all got to go, which sometimes means a lesser experience. Overall great spot

I made a last minute reservation for 10 and they were able to accommodate us. We went for my nephews graduation. It seemed like it was busy since a lot more people were coming in. I ordered shrimp scampi and my cousin ordered shrimp parm. Both were delicious!! the wait time was about an hour and change. The waitress came several times to make sure we were good on drinks. Even though the wait time was pretty long it was worth it, the waitress had to come to our table and apologized for the wait, which we appreciated it. Several people ordered lamb chops and stated they were good, my niece ordered veal and was her first time trying it but did not enjoyed it too well. We and with a decent size cake and were able to enjoy it for dessert after our dinner. The staff were great and definitely will come back!!

I've passed this place for years on my way upstate and have been meaning to go, since I was friendly with a guy in school (in NJ) with the same last name. Crazy reason, but well worth it. Delicious food, old-school waiter and nice atmosphere. I'll be going back!

Enjoyed a nice dinner here for a friends birthday. The food is classic Italian American with some modern cuisine mixed in. For appetizers we enjoyed the fried meatballs, calamari, stuffed mushrooms the baked clams. Everyone enjoyed their main courses which included-veal chops, soft shell crabs, shrimp fra diavolo, zuppa di pesce, sword fish, linguine and clams. The staff was great. There is a bar area for those who enjoy that.

I came with my whole family here for the second time for my 29th birthday this past Sunday night. This was one of my worst dinner experiences in my life. It made me feel even worse as I ended up getting sick from my dinner the next day when I ate it at home because the order was messed up the first time, so I had to take my birthday dinner to go. The worst part about the whole meal was the service. Our waiter Roger, multiple times misheard myself and my mother. Also, my sister asked for apple juice multiple times for her two toddler sons and was ignored. I felt a little awkward but had to speak extra loudly so my two nephews could get apple juice. As someone who worked in the restaurant business for 5 years during college, I felt to call the restaurant today and see what happen because everyone is entitled to a bad day. The only reason given was a bus boy called out but also was not very busy night. Would not recommend.
Our family chose this restaurant to host a confirmation dinner for 24+ persons. We couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant!! Everyone was attentive, polite and very accommodating. Everyone at the table raved about how delicious everything was and how plenty was served. We kept hearing people say “I have to come here again”. I felt compelled to leave a review to thank Phil and the team for a wonderful evening of dinner with friends and family. It wasn’t our 1st time choosing Scaramella’s to host and it certainly will not be our last. Thank you all again! Barbara and Linda ❤️

A friend of mine recommended this place, and man was he right. Great ambiance, with Billy Joel tunes playing softly in the background. Old world waiters, and the chef peaking out of the kitchen. The portions are huge. I had the best chicken parm of my life. It was enough to feed four, and this was the lunch portion. Prices are fair, given the size of the portions and the quality of the food. Service was a bit slow, but well worth the wait. Great crusty bread. Can't wait to return!

Without a doubt the BEST restaurant with the BEST food!! My husband & I came here on our very first date & came back when we got married too! The Chicken Cordon Bleu is out of this world! (Ya just got to be patient tho because it takes a minute), but SO worth the wait! Shrimp Scampi is unbelievable too! Everybody is SO nice & friendly. Nice traditional Italian restaurant. They're a little pricey, but wait til you see the portions!! Enough to take home for 2 more meals! 5 Stars!!
