5 stars for offering super healthy food in the Rivertowns! The menu has expanded and now includes fajita bowls served in lovely earthenware. The atmosphere has become cozy with soft lighting and beautiful flower filled vases on each table. Great value and service. It was busy on a Tuesday evening; this is good news for anyone searching for healthy delicious food in the area.

This is a fairly unfancy joint, but the food is very good. There are many vegetarian options, and the offerings are not exactly what you'd find at a typical Mexican restaurant. (I mean that in a GOOD way.) Very tasty and creative dishes. I'll be going back!

I ordered take away so I can't comment much on service except that they were nice and helpful on the phone and in person. After some expensive, very mediocre food in NYC, I was thrilled to have excellent chicken tacos and a side of black beans at a reasonable price in the little town of Dobbs Ferry. These were as good if not better than tacos and black beans I often ate in Santa Fe NM. I'm not sure why others thought the food was bland; my food was delicious and I was thankful to eat something satisfying.

The food is adequate... it's not going to blow you away and sometimes it's really a hit or miss but generally it's not bad. You don't realize how small this restaurant is until your seated inside, but in my opinion this isn't a bad thing because it adds to its's aesthetic. The decor is unique and creative as well, with avant- grande art pieces. It was a good option for Mexican cuisine before there were GOOD options lol. Since the openings of other better Mexican spots, I haven't really come here.
Amazing food and staff. A great cozy place to get dinner/drinks.

Place has a lot of potential but poorly managed. The seats very uncomfortable and were dirty and I needed to wipe them down as soon as I walked in. The tables are way too low for those high seats. Service was good but our waitress was underage and couldn’t tell me much about the drinks. The food was vegan but way too greasy and did not sit well with my wife and I. The red salsa served with the chips was definitely old and a bit sour. This place does have many vegan/vegetarian options so I was surprised to find it nearly empty on a Saturday afternoon.

This restaurant used to be a staple in the river towns and unfortunately has lost its old charm and energy since the rebranding// renovation. With their new "farm to table" approach the food has honestly gotten worse, smaller portions, and more expensive! Not to mention there is little ambiance now. I paid $12 for guacamole that was essentially a tiny scoop smaller than what they give you at chipotle. While I have no complaints about the service, I miss the old Tomatillo!

So I recently went to Tomatillo, plainly stated...not good. It's cute and staff is lovely, but the food is inauthentic and bland. I hate leaving bad reviews so I'll say this...try their other two restaurants...Grass Roots and Sweet Grass-those are winners!!!

Small and cozy. Staff was young and seemed overwhelmed by a large group. Food was good.
