The Preston Barn at Old Drovers Inn had everything we wanted in a venue. If you want everything in one spot it is the perfect option. We, along with family and friends, stayed at the Old Drovers Inn, Carriage House, and Preston House (just 2 min down the road) and it was so special having everyone together for the whole weekend. Friday night we had a bonfire with smores and an open bar for all our wedding guests and were able to enjoy a leisurely brunch with the guests who stayed on property Sunday morning which was a great end to the weekend.
The venue also has a lot of historic charm and a rustic feel while also being very well kept up and accessible for older family members and guests with mobility challenges. The wedding weekend package also includes a lot of the services you need to run an event reducing the burden of having to coordinate with a lot of external vendors for basic things like tables, linens, catering, etc.
The real differentiator with Preston Barn is the staff. Helene was our coordinator for the day and was so incredibly helpful in the months leading up to the wedding and during the whole weekend. She went above and beyond by doing things like coming to check on me while I was getting my hair and makeup done to show me a picture of the welcome table and cheating chart display to make sure it looked like I had imagined it would. She was present during the first look and family photos and took "back up" photos as the photographer was shooting to make sure we had some images available to show family, friends, and coworkers in the days immediately following the wedding. The rest of the staff was also wonderful. The kindest gentleman was with us the whole afternoon while we were taking pictures before the ceremony and made sure we had water and were comfortable. I also learned afterwards that during the reception he offered to heat up one of my maids of honors meals for her as it had gotten cold while she was pulled in a 100 directions for various things. It was overall a wonderful experience and I would recommend Preston Bard to anyone looking for a venue that brings thoughtfulness, a personal touch, and great care into the whole experience.

From our very first meeting with Helene, we felt we were in great hands. She walked us through every step of the overwhelming process and made everything so totally seamless. It was like talking to a family member from the start. She made everyone feel so comfortable and at ease throughout the whole weekend--even looking after our flower girl and holding her up to the barn window to see guests start arriving while we were all hidden away pre-ceremony!
Between the amazing staff who helped us throughout the whole weekend, and the truly one of a kind venue, we had the absolute best possible wedding we could have ever hoped for! It was so special to stay onsite at this historic inn throughout the entire weekend with our friends and family. Everyone is still raving about the incredible quality of the brunches included and the kind innkeeper Jeff who waited on us hand and foot and made us all feel so at home. Speaking of the food quality, we had countless guests tell us that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding and we agree wholeheartedly.

This was the perfect venue! Our event was Labor Day weekend, so the weather was perfect!! Not only do you get the barn, but there is an outside patio, a fire pit, an outside tented area and even lawn games. We brought a DJ in and we used their large screen TV for a video. We also had several speakers. Helene helped us from our first inquiry, very professional, personable, accommodating, flexible all the way up until the event. We had the event catered and there was a large selection of choices. We had 150 people attend the event and people are still talking about it. I personally stayed at the inn next-door, which was perfect and there is a restaurant on site as well. The staff were very accommodating, hard-working, and kept the event going throughout the night. I loved that there were different areas that everyone could enjoy. This is the perfect venue for any event. I would highly recommend this for a wedding, especially! What a lovely venue for my niece’s autumn wedding! The ceremony was outside , drinks on the patio and then we headed into the barn ( fancy barn!) for the best reception! The food was exceptional, and they were able to accommodate a separate area of the buffet for gluten free foods. We rented the farmhouse ( a beautifully restored 4 bedroom home), which was great for pre and post- wedding gatherings. It really couldn’t have been better!

The accommodations and amenities added to a really nice and joyous weekend. I also leased the Preston house with family members. Its convenient location and comfort allowed for us to visit, socialize, play cards etc. The house is both spacious and comfortable with private bedrooms, nooks and a large round dining room table perfect for gathering. The inn keeper at the main inn ensured we had everything we needed.

I've done events for work for years. I know how wild it can be behind the scenes. Helene and her team were the most professional, thoughtful, and organized event managers/staff I've ever experienced. Helene and the whole crew were incredible! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating to all mine, my friends, and families needs. Everything exceeded our expectations! Helene was so responsive whether it was via phone, email, text she always responded right away! Even the day of the wedding she was always right there when you needed her ! The ceremony was in the back of the barn in a very quiet, nice, rustic, wooded area, cocktail hour on the patio, reception in the barn, after party at the restaurant that was on site, followed by s’mores at the bon fire that kept everyone going into the wee hours of the night / morning! I honestly can’t think of one thing that could have gone better then it did. Following the event the next day everyone continued to be so kind, patient and helpful when trying to gather all wedding day supplies /decor. It was all sensational ! It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking to have eveything in one area. And whether you are local or from out of town there were plenty of housing accommodations for all! Both on site, and close by! We highly recommend Old Drovers Inn if you are planning a small dinner party of 30 guests or less. The Federal Room is a beautiful room with a lot of ambiance and history. Helene made the planning process very easy, and Donna + crew made sure that everything went smoothly the night of the event. The food was delicious, with four choices for our guests to choose from.
