We were riding along the NEBDR when we stumbled upon the Old Schoolhouse Inn & Restaurant. We originally went for just for dinner and were very impressed with everything they had to offer. We asked if they had any rooms available and they did so we decided to stay. The room was in immaculate condition and extremely clean. Couldn’t be more happy to find this gem along the route!
We had a great dinner here. Just exploring the details of beautifully restored building and the taxidermy on the walls was worth a stop in. The food was very good. Salad bar was typical but a nice add on to the meal. They had steak and seafood options on the menu, but the hamburgers were from a local ranch so we opted for burgers. They were excellent and very recently priced. And cooked perfectly. You can get a 6 ounce or 12 ounce size. Six ounces probably fine for most...
stopped by on the way home after a real estate trip to Delhi. The 4 of us all had varying burgers, and we were all in agreement that they were among the best we've ever had.
Beer was ice cold and fries were fresh and hot. Service was great too.
