Couple of weeks ago went for a drive with my son and his fiancé and fortunately found ourselves at 16 Central Ave in Dunkirk, NY. The Boardwalk Market has a nice selection of small eateries to cater to just about every palate! It was lunch time and we decided to try Off The Hook as my son and I both love fish / seafood What a treat!!!! The food was delicious and the seafood nachos to die for!! My son’s fish was great and the street tacos that my future daughter in law ordered were scrumptious. Not much seating inside but there is seating outside , it was a beautiful day, so we ate and people watched!! The atmosphere was extremely comfortable and the wait staff excellent . I gave my regards to the chef and staff . Don’t drive near Dunkirk without stopping at Off the Hook! I promise you will not be disappointed!!!!

This place was great! Walked up a few minutes past 8, their closing time; after a brief chat on the other options in the area the chef said forget about that and fixed us some dinner…fresh battered fish, homemade coleslaw…an amazing end to a day driving!

Our first time here, and we both ordered the seafood combo. It was a good size portion wise. The price was around $17 for the basket. We ate outside at a table. We came around 5:30 pm and they brought it out a little after 6 pm. The tarter sauce had a seasoning like nutmeg or cloves taste that we couldn't put our finger on. Over all, it wasn't too bad, We'd try the place out again.

The seafood basket combo that came with corkscrew Cajun fries was alwaysmy favorite. Was looking forward to this years opening. Ordered it today. Coating on fish and shrimp tasted different, and was greasy soggy. Came with regular fries with way too much pepper and salt (evidently you now have to ask for the corkscrew fries). Pulled most of the batter off the fish and ate a few fries after brushing off pepper and salt. Tartar sauce had a weird lemon/lime taste. The NA frozen drink was delicious. But sorry, no longer my favorite seafood place.
