I have eaten here several times. Their pork tacos al pastor are really good. I usually get 1 spicy pork, 1 al pastor and 1 steak. Service can sometimes take a while so order before you go so they will be ready to be picked up. Seating is limited, so your best bet is To Go.
Tacos are great! The al pastor is my favorite! Chilaquiles are great too. Lots of people have commented on how authentic the place is. This place is as close to my Abuelita's kitchen in Albuquerque as I've found in Western NY. The chile's they use trend more toward jalapeno than Hatch green chile, but it's still delicious. I'm pretty sure the owner's mom cooks all the food every morning and just has him bring it in. Don't expect things that require a lot of prep like chile rellenos or albondigas. And don't expect to sit down with silverware for a fine dinning experience. This place is exactly what the name says. Its a Mexican style taco stand. Their new place on the board walk is good too, but the line is always shorted at the original. Great food for a great price!
Amazing tasty empanadas!! The steak tacos were cooked to perfection! Great customer service!! Everything was fresh
We came across this hidden gem while taking a day trip to Dunkirk. The tacos were out of this world with large portion sizes, authentic ingredients, and delicious flavor!
Taqueria Mexicana is a place that I drove past hundreds of times a month and never thought to stop. I should have stopped her years ago. This is authentic Mexican/Hispanic food. The prices are reasonable and come with more then enough food. The spicy pork is SPICY. if you are looking for good Mexican food, I would highly recommend.
We almost did not stop to eat, had second thoughts- you know those places where you have just two tables, you use plastic utensils, etc. But I remember the times when we ate in a stand only taco stand by the roads in Mexico and I still can’t forget how good the tacos were. We decided to give it a try and it has good reviews on Yelp also. So it’s one of those places where Mexican food is not catered to American taste. You simply focus on the food and they were just tasty flavorful. I ordered the roast chicken leg with mexican rice. It was plenty to be shared by two. My bf said the beef tacos was good cooked the way he liked it - the beef is grilled and chopped not grounded beef. My daughter also liked the chicken taco and has to re-order one more. I even told the man in the store they ought to have more seating area.
Stopped on our way through Dunkirk and it was wonderful! Pork with rice and the best pinto beans ever. Small home cooking restaurant! Can’t wait to try the tacos next!
Best tacos ever.. The roast pork is perfect. In the top 3 Mexican food I've had. Definitely authentic! Yummy!!!
