It's not awful for an airport but I wouldn't (and didn't) go back. I had the order at the bar QR system, it just never leads to good service from the bartenders who are right there, but basically never interact with you. Food was actually pretty decent, but sat at the end of the counter for 10 minutes until we had to ask someone to bring it over from the kitchen.

This morning my friend and I were deciding to get food when we went to Bubbys. When we were at the counter we were asked, by the woman in question, if we wanted take out or dine in. My friend said take out, because we were just planning on grabbing our food and leaving to our gate. We decided to have a seat at the bar area to wait on our food since it was taking a little long. The food taking longer than expected was not a problem. The problem we had was when we were sitting, waiting on our food, the waitress who spoke to my friend prior asked when we were sitting if we were doing dine in. We politely replied no, we are just waiting on our take out order. The waitress became visibly disgruntled, and the stated with much frustration that we were NOT ALLOWED to sit there due to us getting take out, that the spots were for dine in only, and that my friend was told that when she placed her order. I was right beside my friend when she ordered and there was nothing about that said by the woman (who was the same one now berating us for sitting at the bar area). My friend and I were SHOCKED at the immediate disposition of the waitress being rude to us off cuff, as if we were impeding on her earnings in some way by sitting at the bar. There was also plenty of open seating for other patrons to sit and eat, we could have understood the comment more if they had people waiting for spaces to eat but they did not. We tried to explain and ask what was wrong with us sitting there when another person, just at the other end of the bar area, was sitting eating Wendy’s! Food from an establishment that wasn’t the one she was working for, but nothing was said to him as he sat there the entire time as this ordeal was going on. We spent almost 80$ on take out breakfast, and we were treated this way. After trying to question the waitress about the situation she the called my friend rude, as if she was not the one who started the situation in the first place. Before she left she kept threatening us with “that’s fine if you wanted to be rude, I’ll just call security and you will be missing your flight.” The waitress then left to get something from the back. She then came back from the back, with a damp cloth and was again talking at us, stating the same thing we were rude, and she’ll call security and we will miss our flights. We did not engage with her as we were so disappointed by the whole situation. The waitress when wiping down the counter made it a point to wipe on, and right under my friend’s belongings that we were traveling with. I was in customer service for a very long time, and I know how frustrating it can be, maybe she was having a bad day, and I hate that for her, but there was NO NEED for her to treat my friend and I the way we were treated over a SEAT AT A BAR, OF A PLACE WE PURCHASED FOOD FROM, IN AN AIRPORT. The woman who caused the situation was wearing a Christmas headband, and had long red hair half way down her back, Latino decent and a strong accent. (I am giving a description as I was not able to get her name). If the company of Bubby’s prides themselves on a good customer experience, and quality of which people receive from their employees, then this woman is not a good fit. If this woman is an employee of the airport via the restaurant, the point still stands as she is rude, unprofessional, and confrontational.

I'm sorry, but I have to give this place one star due to the poor service and food quality. My coleslaw arrived spoiled, and when I asked for a replacement, the waitress—who was very kind—offered a green salad instead. Unfortunately, that too was disappointing, as it came with rotten tomatoes.
She said the manager would stop by in a minute, but after ten minutes, no one had shown up. Serving spoiled food is simply unacceptable. After another 20 minutes, someone finally came to the table and acknowledged the issue—but by then, the experience had already been ruined.
To be fair, the fried chicken was good, and they did cancel my payment, which I appreciated. Still, starting the meal with spoiled coleslaw completely ruined my appetite and set a negative tone. I hope this feedback leads to better food handling and more attentive service in the future.

We ordered a Bubby’s breakfast and a scrambled egg on the side. We waited about 10 minutes, and when the food came out it was cold. We asked the server to heat it up, but it was still cold, even though the plate was hot. Honestly, this might be the worst airport food I’ve ever had. It’s even worse than a random sandwich I’d grab!

Probably the best food I have eaten at an airport. Biscuits are the same as at the original location and the fried chicken sandwich was delicious. Crunchy, crunchy coating with juicy interior and a slight sweet heat. Very very good. Ordering is from a QR code and are definitely paying airport prices but if you want/ need to eat at the airport this would be my choice

40+ minute wait to get my order. The food was good but I would have gone somewhere else if I knew how slow this would be, especially at this price point.

If you’re in a hurry don’t eat here. 40 minutes for a pancake and had to ask 3 times.. sad part is they make you prepay at a table service so you’ve already paid for something then have to beg to get it.

Matzo Ball Soup is saltier than the Dead Sea
Nothing like Bubby's in Tribeca.
The service was ok, the QR code website to order was broken (404 error) so it took a while to get someone over to take the order. And the employee did not even address my question about the order site. The food came out in minutes. The chicken seemed undercooked, the bread was so stale and hard it was difficult to even take a bite. I waited for a while and nobody came over so I ate it anyway. Overall extremely disappointing. Highly recommend finding somewhere else at the airport to eat. I will say the fries were good. But that was really the only positive part about the food. I normally clean my plate but this meal had a lot left...

Food was so cold. Server dropped food off and never came back to see how things were. James Beard pancakes didn’t taste any different than something you get at a basic diner. Would not recommend any of it.

If you’ve ever had Bubby’s pancakes and want them before catching a flight, don’t. These are not the same, super dry and dense. Love the NYC location but the LGA diner is not comparable.

$50 for cold dense pancakes, cold chewy bacon, and a Diet Coke. Embarrassing.
