One of the last remaining diners on long island. Delicious food, friendly staff, clean surroundings.

Breakfast is always delicious 😋. The thick French toast very good. The scrambled eggs are perfect. I have been going here for 25 years..

I had the chicken and waffles this time. I normally can't eat more than half a waffle, but theirs was so light and fluffy, I ate it all and only brought home the 2 chicken fingers

WORST DINER ON LONG ISLAND I ordered 2 burgers with fries and instead of just getting rid of the onion rings lettuce and tomato and replacing it with fries, they charged me 22 DOLLARS for basically the same amount of fries I would have gotten in the first place. It's a scam, go to literally any other diner and maybe they won't try to squeeze as much money out of you as they can

Ordered spaghetti with meatballs for pickup. Did not come with either bread nor a salad as stated on the website. On top of that they overcharged by $4. Since it was picked up and paid for by somebody else, I didn’t realize till the next day.

Say what you want about this diner, BUT $16.00 for 2 eggs, home fries, & coffee is #4 more than other diners....Appolo wont see me again. In these times of high prices, $16 for 2 eggs is off the reservation!!
Ended up here looking for a place to eat late at night that had gluten, soy and dairy free options for my friend. Apollo had gluten free penne that could be used with any of the sauces they had. My friend decided to get her gluten free pasta with white clam sauce and she seemed to be satisfied.
As for me I got the eggplant parmigiana that came with a side pasta and soup or salad. Portions were generous and I had enough for lunch the next day. Eggplant parmigiana was executed well with thin sliced, breadcrumb coated eggplant that was properly fried, coated with a mild marinara sauce and topped with melted cheese. Side pasta was overcooked. The red sauce was standard. The size of the plate made it difficult to mix the sauce and pasta without spilling some off of the plate.
Had a sip of another friend's Bloody Mary that was decent and was spicer than others I tried. She also offered to try some of her baked clams that had a nice blend of breadcrumbs, clams and spices. I didn't get to try the buffalo burger. My friend seemed to be ok with it but not thrilled either.
Service was average. The bathroom was clean but the major issue was the temperature inside which was at least 15 degrees colder than the rest of the restaurant.
Not sure why that was the case.

The food isn’t that good but the staff is great. The food tastes like it’s out of can and cheap, mush like
