Filet mignon ($80)very chewy and tough.Ala Carter sides expensive ($14 creamed spinach)($10potato)waiter just assumed paying by credit card..never asked..we paid cash..my husband caught that..many patrons dont..much better steakhouses in area than here...never again!!

Pretty disappointed for a $300 meal. Girlfriend got filet mignon which was not tender. My T-bone was initially over cooked so it had to be sent back. By the time I got a new steak, which was not good even at the right temperature ($60), I was already done from eating the sides. Crab cakes and macaroni and cheese was the best part of our meal. Charred broccoli was way over done and tasted like ash. Shrimp cocktail was also overcooked. Espresso martinis were pretty good. I really wanted to like this place, staff was nice but I will not be returning.

2nd time dining here and it was as good as the 1st maybe even better. Friendly staff made it an enjoyable experience. Steaks did not disappoint and the prices were not too bad. I would say it was reasonable. I have to say I had a cappuccino and hands down the best I ever had from a steak restaurant.

Food was very good. The steak was like butter and sides were solid. They gave us the wrong type of mac and cheese at first but replaced with the correct one very quickly.
The food was average and not worth all the hype, but the waiting time for the steak was insanely long we had to waited over 40 minutes for our steak. The total time we for dinner was about 2.5 hours. Three other table people who came in after us already left. The waiter tell me he tell kitchen cook steak our steak at 9pm don't get our food until 9:45. I am still waiting for my food while typing this review. My son was very tired and annoyed during this experience. When we got the steak, the outside part was very burnt and didn't taste as good as the price. We ask for medium cook for steak came out overcook. The lobster and the mash potato is probably the best part of the whole dinner. I appreciate how the manager came over and apologized about the waiting time and took off a round of drinks for us. The ambience was alright.
Always a great meal. my husband had the veal chop which he said was the best he ever had which was a special for Valentine's Day and hope they keep on the menu and I had the seafood risotto which I've had many times before and is delicious
It was Valentine's Day and this is our first visit. The evening went great except for my wife's fillet of sole ( I know this is a steakhouse so why order fish) which was not very exciting. We will make a return visit, the steak and service are well worth the trip
My lobster tail was cold , waiter forgot my dessert but brought check very expensive. Capitol Grill in Garden city was better if I'm going to spend that kind of money on dinner
A very disappointing meal and we won't be back. I hate the mandatory valet parking. Really I can walk the ten feet to your door from your parking lot. As for the food we ordered creamed spinach but were brought sautéed spinach. Our server was accommodating but the kitchen just poured cream on top of the same sautéed spinach.

We enjoyed Jakes Steak House as I had the T-Bone Steak, cooked to perfection and was an excellent steak, my wife had Surf and Turf, excellent. Our waiter was excellent - very attentive - great service and excellent meal all around.

Our table was ready when we arrived, the waiters and busboys were polite and efficient, the food arrived promptly and had been prepared exactly how we asked for it. The waiter checked back periodically to see if everything was going smoothly and to ask if we wanted additional service and, finally, we never felt any pressure to leave before we were ready.
