What a nasty place to buy food from, the grill area is smelling and disgusting I bought food and ended up throwing out. The cook does not have uniform and he is picking his nose and making food preparation. The cashier alway on the phone and very rude. I will never go there anymore

Meadow Deli in East Meadow had been a long time staple of the village for years. The original was family owned and beloved in the community. Unfortunately, the current owners are a tragic step down. I was very surprised entering the deli and finding it quiet and empty. In its heyday, the deli always had patrons any time of day. Today, I asked for an olive loaf and meunster cheese on white sandwich. It indicated on the board that the price was 5.99, but at the register I was charged 7.00 for it. It's a disreputable practice to over charge for a sandwich. It's very sad that such a once favorite deli of my youth has shamefully fallen to a sad state.

The guys are nice, friendly and service is good... but, if you're running in for a grocery item, be sure to check the dates... there have been numerous occasions that I've had to alert them that something I was going to get was expired. It's stuff I'd ideally get at grocery store, but on a rare occasion that I was running in for something like ketchup, mayo, or even bread 'cuz I needed in a pinch, it's turned out to be less convenient than I'd hoped due to expiration. Will continue to go in for a sammich here 'n there, but keep an eye out if purchasing shelved items.

This little deli has always had terrific sandwiches until today. There was a very nervous, very disturbed clerk, who won instructed with an order for a turkey Honeybell, turkey, with coleslaw and mustard sandwich, made it skimpy sandwich, and butter, the bread instead of putting coleslaw on it then when asked for another sandwich, thinking the coleslaw was on the sandwich, he snapped at my friend and gave her three sandwiches instead of one or two and insisted she ordered three which she did not order. Then the manager came out from the back and took one of the sandwiches and did not charge for three and she got the sandwich home she found there was no coleslaw no mustard it was Skippy And it was not the honey turkey. The other sandwich to didn't appear to be the honey turkey and it was missing the coleslaw and mustard and only had butter put on it. We don't eat butter on our sandwiches! The man was very nasty to her. He seemed very disturbed when I saw him he was on the phone and ignoring customers And he charge a lot of money for the sandwiches. It was $17 for two sandwiches which were not done as requested when I called to speak to the manager he told me the manager wasn't there I said well you must be the one who made the sandwich then and I told him when he did and I said is it that you just don't do you not understand English and he said no he understands English and I said well I'll have to call back when the manager is there another day and tell him what happened. But this guy who works as a clerk there definitely on Sunday, August 27 in the afternoon this particular individual the clerk there not the big heavy guy in the back with seem to be the manager, but the clerk he should be fired. He is incompetent. He also told my friend who is very polite to him, and even was wearing a mask to prevent spreading a cold to him since she wasn't feeling well And he told her not to come back when she hadn't done anything wrong. She was dressed nicely. She was polite. It was this guy this clerk he's really bad he should not be there. Perhaps this is a Front for something else and they're trying to get rid of customers. I'm not surprised if it is turned into a front for some other activities, it's a Pittie because it was a really great deli in the past. I could always depend on them for really good honey turkey sticks sandwich with coleslaw and mustard, and it would be yummy but not now I give this deli today a rating of 0.

Chicken Cutlet sandwich was disgusting. It looked like a frozen chicken nuggets slapped on a sandwich.

This deli is a gem of the East Meadow neighborhood and surrounding towns. Not only have they kept prices ridiculously low in times where they are surely facing increasing operating costs , but the quality of the freshly cooked food far exceeds the respective price tags. In comparison to the norm on Long Island which is pay extra for lesser quality , the deli operates more like those found in the 5 boroughs (where the prices are lower and food is significantly better)
