I like this place. It smells nice and the pastries are tasty. I always like the pistachio croissants but they always have some other interesting food.
My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Flourbud Bakery during a recent bike ride, and it was a truly delightful experience. The staff was exceptionally kind and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment we walked in. The coffee was brewed fresh and served piping hot — a detail I particularly appreciated. Each pastry we tried was outstanding. The chocolate shortbread, filled with a smooth ganache, was rich and satisfying. The ham and cheese croissant was remarkably reminiscent of those we enjoyed during our travels in France — perfectly flaky with a balanced savory flavor. The highlight, however, may have been the chocolate chip cookie made with rye and toffee. It was both unique and deeply flavorful, pairing beautifully with the coffee and standing out as one of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. Flowerbud Bakery is a true gem, and we look forward to returning.
This place was absolutely amazing. The pastries are to die for. I’ve never had anything better hands-down some of the best baked items I’ve ever eaten.
Lemon meringue tart amazingly sweet & tart, delicious. Perfect crunchy outside soft inside Croissant
I can't begin to say how much I LOVE going to Flourbud Bakery. First off, I’m a savory girl—I lean hard into rich, salty-sweet flavors, so this review is definitely for the savory lovers out there. The seasonal sandwiches are always such a creative blend of ingredients. Some favorites: the apple cheddar on seeded sourdough (so satisfying), the menu classic burrata baguette, my current obsession—the spinach artichoke grilled cheese—and my partner’s go-to, the broccolini camembert with caramelized onions.
Any slice of quiche is a winner—always creamy, rich, and perfect with a side of mixed greens when I take it home. The savory puff pastries are also top tier.
On the sweet side, I’ve got a few ride-or-die faves: the pistachio croissant, the carrot cake (if you spot a slice in the case, grab it), the chocolate ganache tart, and my absolute favorite—the rye chocolate chip toffee cookies. They’re unreal.
But honestly? One of the best parts of the experience is chatting with the women behind the counter and in the kitchen. Cristina the owner is warm, and hilarious, and full of good energy— and Kiki and Janessa the ladies in front of house. I could hang out all day just talking with them. It’s that kind of place: delicious food and good vibes that make you want to stay a little longer. And you can because they have small cafe tables both inside and outside.
The best cookies and pastries! They have bread too! All amazing, so happy to have a bakery nearby.
Amazing croissants
Staff is rude and has “airs” about them for no good reason save for the owner who is always pleasant when there. Bakery items such as donuts and pastries use butter cream which I dislike. It’s too thick and dense which detracts from the flavors and makes the items heavy. Use a lighter icing in your preparation and elevate your flavors. At least have some diversity. They have good coffee and enough accoutrements to satisfy most.
food is very tasty. got the lemon chicken and kale soup and it was delicious! we were there around noon on a Sunday so the pastry case was pretty picked over. they do not keep their online menu up to date, so the vegan sandwich option we were interested in weren't available and that was disappointing. not a whole lot of places to sit, but the store is small. good parking!
This is a really special place with unique treats.

Donut sunday is something you cant miss
The savory spinach feta pastry was delicious,
2 stars for the cakes. Tried their carrot, vanilla, chocolate and flourless chocolate cakes. The best of the bunch was flourless, but it had too much raising agents in it. Vanilla was the least enjoyable with very sweet, very commercial tasting buttercream. The carrot and chocolate cakes had ok textures but again buttercreams were too sweet and artificial. Considering the price for one slice I think 2 stars is more than fair... Didn't try their pastries, croissants or breads.
We visited Flourbud Bakery on our way to Parrish Art Museum. It was so lovely to find a bakery with great quality pastries randomly.
Their Fig & Hazelnut Danish looks so pretty with crispy texture. We were also impressed by their Almond Croissant which the filling was moltened and rich.
