Tony's Sushi & Steakhouse

Ramen is just angel hair pasta in chicken bullion broth and the sushi rice has a crunch like day old Chinese food. This establishment was good years ago but every time I give it another chance (over the last three years probably 4 times) it just bad. The service is good the atmosphere is decent but the food is lack luster

I am editing this review because I am appalled that they are charging 2.00 for ice or "rocks" as they call it if you order a cocktail. I have never heard or seen that at any restaurant I have been to.We had 3 cocktails and it cost an extra 6.00 for ice or "rocks" Come on now for ice. I highly recommend that you check your receipts if you order a cocktail . I wonder if they are charging for ice in soft drinks?I will not order any cocktails if I am being charged for ice. I think it's disgusting for ice. SO THEY ADD 2.00 FOR ICE FOR A COCKTAIL AND YOU ALSO BEING TAXED FOR THE ICE. TALK ABOUT GREED AND RIPPING CONSUMER OFF! Great waitresses are very attentive but not annoying. There is sushi,Chinese, and hibachi to choose from. Plenty of food given always take food home.

Trust the negative reviews, do not waste your time. First of all the appetizers that we ordered did not come out on time my boyfriend got his first and i had to wait about ten minutes later for mine by that time he was already finished. Second the miso soup (something very simple) and the actual sushi had no flavor at all when it did arrive and tasted old. Dinner was just yet another disappointment the rice was stale and again tasted old and the food lacked flavor. Ive had better Chinese food in the dominican republic at an all inclusive resort, I actually would choose that a million times over then ever go to this place again which says a lot. I usually never write reviews but it angers me that places like this think they can charge top dollar for subpar food. I told the waiter our disappointment in the food and she apologized and let the kitchen know. Someone who appeared to be the manager came over to help clear our plates but said absolutely nothing. The waitress was very nice and apologized even though it was not her fault of course. I did not bother sending anything back but I will never go to this establishment again and will tell the same to anyone else who is thinking of going. I don’t like to write bad reviews because sometimes establishments have bad days which is understandable but this seems to be an ongoing theme with these guys. They only care about money and not the customers and it’s a shame. Do better.

Masaman Thai curry came out spoiled. Tasted and smelled sour and funny, got sick a few hours later

I have been a customer for 10+ years, but now prices are insane, portions are smaller and not as good. I ordered the roti Canai but unfortunately it is inedible due to the amount of fry oil (pictured with the lettuce). Hope they can come back strong, improve the quality, and lower the prices for what you get.

We love the food here, always but they’ve started charging for the sauces. $2.75 for sauce, and not only were they not in the bag when I picked up (thankfully I checked before leaving) - but they’re half full. $2.75 is outrageous as it is, but at least fill the cup if you wanna charge for it.

The mother is the same, so is the son. When a customer comes in, first ask how can I help you and then greet them. Show respect. Anyway, let's move on from what I just said. Hello, I asked if the order with this name is ready. You went in, checked the order, and walked out. Whatever it is, be respectful to the other person. Please care about them.

Massive disappointment. This will be the last time I ever order from here. For almost $200 they will completely F up your order, which would be almost forgivable if not for the mediocre food. Every single time. If they can't take their business seriously, then they don't deserve the money that keeps it alive. Customers apparently DO NOT matter in the eyes of Tony's Sushi

My first time in as a couple… we were anxious to give ‘em a try… it was a tuesday evening so probably hit ‘em at a slow time… atmosphere was okay, dark and pretty empty… I would call it “upscale Asian”… to be honest we were looking for “Chinese cuisine” and we thought that we could find that here… no dice in this regard! The menu is packed with Japanese and Thai and barely any Chinese… if you are looking for Chinese you won’t find it here…
My wife ordered Thai and I had the Thai soup - both were okay! Now, here’s the rub…! My General Tso was not good… a total disappointment… SO, THE BOTTOM LINE … if you want Chinese this isn’t the place and good luck finding a decent sit-down Chinese place on the South Side!
My wife thoroughly enjoyed her coconut martini… !
The bill came… $80.00 b/4 the tip… nearly $100.00 out the door… absolutely ridiculous, stupid, and overall exorbitant… for that price the entire meal should have been great!!

There was a 2 piece band playing Thursday evening, that was great. Nice, easy music that you can have conversation over - a man and a woman. They were great.

The food was delicious.

The service was great.

The one bathroom had no soap and no hand sanitizer to wash your hands, for hours, which meant that employees weren't washing their hands before handling the food. This was a high traffic restroom as it was used by both men and women. That always makes me consider not going back to a restaurant. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for that.

Pictures on the menu look amazing, which you can't say about the food.
