Oh, my goodness! What a gem of a place! We were visiting from out of town and were just looking for a good place not far from our hotel. We drove past, but were able to turn around to see this little restaurant! We were so warmly greeted by Emily and she suggested we dine on the patio. It was so surprising and so lovely! There was an amazing Spanish guitarist named Arrizza and he played so beautifully during our meal. Ingrid was our server and she was so sweet and attentive!...
We love Matador! The Ropa Vieja, to die for! The sangria (red) is delicious! Emily is always so welcoming and makes us feel right at home. I tell everyone to go here and they always rave about it! It’s hard to try new restaurants because it’s just that good haha! And happy hour from 4-8pm!? Unheard of!!! And the back patio is now open :)
We hosted a party at El Matador too long ago and everything was perfect! The food is phenomenal, the service is outstanding, and we all had a wonderful time. I found this restaurant by accident after scrambling to find a new venue when my original one suddenly fell through.
