After posting. about an unpleasant experience I had at the restaurant, the owner, Mike, responded very quickly and asked me to contact him. I spoke with him and discussed what happened. Mike invited me and my family back to the restaurant. Mike went above and beyond to show us how wonderful his restaurant is. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the music from "open mike night". I recommend visiting the Pine Grove to e joy the food. atmosphere and friendly staff. We are looking forward to returning, especially on the warm weather so we can sit outside on the patio.

😀We usually go to Pine Grove Inn either before or after a play at The Gateway Playhouse, and I have been going there since I was a child, and I'm no spring chicken! But this was just a night out and a number of us wanted to go out, and whenever asked I'm always suggesting Pine Grove Inn. They have a prix fixe dinner, that's always my favorite; it includes an appetizer (and always generous portions), a soup or salad, full entree and a dessert! Their beers are special German beers that are worth the trip by themselves. the owner, Mike, is always working extremely hard to build up its reputation with groups coming to sing! Make your way to this hidden "gem", you won't be disappointed!

Went there for a birthday and it ended up being an event in the back by the water. We had a lot of fun! Drinks and service could be a lot better but had fun regardless.

I had appetizer trio which consist of baked clams, coconut shrimp, and calamari all very good especially the baked clams.
For dinner .the toma hawk steak was phenomenal, cooked medium rare to perfection. Served with fresh spinach and mash and side of mushrooms.
Apple strudel and Irish coffee for dessert.
And Mike the owner was there for my every need.

10 of us come here after watching Margaritaville at The Gateway Playhouse, we were graciously met by the owner Michael and they seated us immediately. Most of us had the Prix Fixe which included a drink (wine or beer); a full appetizer, entree and a large dessert! An extremely great deal and the staff worked their butts off to make sure we were happy! Mike (the owner), works tirelessly to make Pine Grove Inn active and up to date. Please visit them and mention you saw Glenn & Jovie’s review!!

Food was very good and service was great. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Quiet on the inside, ball game on and band outside with a crowd. Owner, stopped by to say hello and check on us.

At first we were the only ones, service of course excellent sweet server. Fresh cut flowers at every table! We started with potato pancakes which was eh… not too thrilled but the baked clams made up for them they were delicious little reminiscent of the older Pine Grove days… I had the Beef stroganoff, hot tasty with fresh red cabbage beef was tender, pasta hot and buttery. Husband had sauerbraten said it was good( man of few words he’s German?)Nice portions and nice sized pours for wine and beer! Music by Silver Rose Duo was an added treat and was a pleasure to listen to which kept us there longer!❤️ We really enjoyed ourselves just wondering why there wasn’t more people there?! Overall great meal atmosphere!

My significant other and I went to The Pine Grove Inn on Thursday before seeing “In The Heights” at Gateway Playhouse. We have eaten there a number of times since Michael (the new owner) took it over. The staff has always been super nice and helpful and the food is always great! This past time I had the Weiner Schnitzel (veal), which is always my “go to” and my significant other had the sauerbraten, but best of all, they had a “four course meal” (appetizer each, soup each, entree and a dessert each) for $53. I was told they were going to add a glass of beer to the offer. That’s a real “home-run”! Enjoyed everything we had and still had to bring some home of the entrees and most of the desserts! Will definitely continue going there!!

My wife and I went on Monday, 2 days before Valentines Day as it was far more convenient as I work late. It was not busy on a Monday night but we had wanted to go to Pine Grove Inn for German food for some time. This afforded us a seat right next to the fireplace- very romantic. Pine Grove Inn looks very European, clean lines, tasteful artwork and they have added a Tea Room for High Tea.The menu covers a good deal of variety but it was Beef Sauerbraten, my Italian grandfathers favorite. My wife cajoled our sever/owner into a custom plate of German specialties. We started with 2 delicious German beers and shortly our food came, it was exactly what I wanted with red Sauerkraut, potato pancakes, and apple sauce, my wife had bratwurst, white sauerkraut, potato dumplings and sour cream. The beef was tender and flavorful. Having been in Germany many times, I can say both authentic and delicious!Apple Streudel to go, because we were full. Streudel was fab too.I will be back!
