I grew up in Rochester and Wegman's is one of the few things that I legitimately miss since moving away. There is no other grocery store that can rival it and it appears to have only gotten better since I was a kid. They have vastly expanded the prepared foods, including subs, pizzas, sushi, and so on. A lot of locations even have seating for the cafe area. Prices have definitely gone up a little, but the quality supports it. Staff is always great and the stores are clean.

Its sad that i have to leave such a bad review with the fairport wegamans sub shop today. I went in for a medium sub with added bacon. I have a dentists appointment right now which i am waiting for. I need a fast lunch before my mouth is numb for the next ten hours. I told them i was in a rush but was also very nice and respectful; but i was then charged for a combo meal, which I didn't get. I couldn't hear the woman behind the counter and she made it sound like it was the only way to get my order. I wish i had time to argue, but I didn't. I didn't even know what had happened until i was at the check out. So i got over charged by 2 or 3 dollars, and im so upset, i feel like they took advantage of me because i was scatter brained and in a rush. I will not be going back for another sub any time soon. Im very upset that they over charged me. I realize its not a lot over, but its more of the principle that they did this intentionally. How am i supposed to trust them again.

This is the "Vintage Wegmans." It's worth a trip for any Rochesterian exactly once, just to see what Wegmans used to look like back in the day. Unfortunately, the retro-ness of it extends not just to the decor, but also to the selection. My two biggest priorities, cheese and vegetables, both had particularly meager selections, and the store is unusually small and generally lacks variety.

This is the Old Skool Wegmans it's a busy store and staff is great but this store is better laid out than East Ave and this place is over 50 yrs old I believe? They have just about everything you would need for a Wegmans run. They share a parking lot but there is always a place to park. If your in the area you need to go at least once.
