My family and I were really disappointed, in the service and the food. My husband ordered steak and after waiting a while boy was he disappointed. The steak was pale and looked like it was boiled and it was rough..I ordered chicharron. I pointed at it. In English it said fried pork. I was really surprised because I got fried chicken. I spoke to the waiter and she got the manager. The manager was very rude and hostile. She did ask if we wanted another steak. We said no thank you. So they didn't charge us the steak. Next I explained i got the wrong dish. The manager proceeded to tell me they have pork chicharron and chicken chicharron. But I specifically pointed out the one that said pork. Somehow it was still my fault. After being uncomfortable and waiting long already I tried eating the fried chicken. It was also rough. I didn't want to further complain to manager because she was not very people friendly. We ordered papa rellena also. Those were okay. So now we'll talk about price, they jacked up the price on the papa rellena to $8.99 menu said $4 and my fried chicken/ fried pork i didn't get was also jacked up to $20 even though it said $17. I guess they tried making up for the steak they said they removed. We still tipped the waitress. Will never go back. You must learn to be more pleasant with people that come to eat at your restaurant. I never write bad reviews but I was really taken back by the manager. It's not what you say but how you say it.

As a boricua myself I really felt at home in this place. I enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere. Took my mother here for her birthday and the rest of my family. We all loved it and felt truly taken care of and we can't wait to come back again ❤️

If I can give this place minus stars, I would. Very very disappointed. We took my Dad here today for Father's Day and the service was horrible and they basically ran out of food, everything we basically wanted they were out (no steak with onions, no Yuca, no guieno) we ask for Roman Coke and the waitress comes back with shots of barcardi, unreal. This place is basically the worse, very disappointed with this Boricua spot. The place was not even packed to be without certain foods. Will never come to place ever again.

The service was great and the staff made us feel really welcome. The vibe and decor were on point—such a nice atmosphere. But the food didn’t live up to the rest of the experience. It was way too salty and lacked that authentic Puerto Rican flavor. The chef should consider revamping the seasoning and overall flavor to better reflect the rich culinary traditions of the island.

It got the job done, nothing better then Raices in PR. Not a fan of the corn sticks, no flavor but cornmeal but the real miss i was actually kind of bummed about was the beans! Flavor was a miss, they were cold as if they had been reheated. But wasnt a fan at all. Good rice and Flavor in rice and texture. But to have not great beans and good rice, just a bummer. But cute spot.
