My husband and I are in Syracuse for the weekend and stopped here for dinner. The diner is super cute and has such a warm feel! I had the Friday night haddock dinner which was amazing and my husband had the hot beef sandwich. I swear he ate the entire meal in under 10 min! I’m so happy we found this little gem.
Love Al's! The fish on Thursday night ( ssshhhhh...it's a secret?) and Friday is fresh, flaky and delicious! I get it with coleslaw and homemade mac and cheese, yum! Had breakfast there last weekend, the corned beef hash/cheese omelet- so good! Homefries with sauteed onions and rye toast, with hot, fresh coffee- made my day! Not fancy, just good
Was “ok”. Food portions were perfect and no waiting. The food itself (eggs, omelette, French toast) tasted good - but nothing special. The one area that I feel could have been improved upon was customer service. The wait staff was pretty abrupt and to the point, never came back to asl how our food was, just handed us the bill, etc.
